  1. If you train squats and deadlifts on the same day, I would do one of them light. If you insist on doing both heavy on the same day, do the squats first and expect the deadlifts to suffer at least a little.
  2. Those looked pretty good, especially the second rep. You might want to try widening your grip slightly. A narrower grip tends to encourage press out and will also make it harder to hit a squat snatch should you ever decide to do those.
  3. I like the concept of cross fitness and much of what they are doing but am not a fan high rep olympic lifts. Regarding $, there are diminishing returns from joining a box. The first few months can be really valuable for learning basic technique. After that, you are mainly paying for a cheerleader and being around other crossfitters.
  4. A little late, but check out Spring Hill Fitness (used to be HG Fitness). Large free weight area, plenty of cardio, showers, group classes. Even has a deadlift platform and chalk which are hard to find these days. www.springhillfitnesstn.com
