  1. Well, I ended up getting sick, so maybe the week didn't turn out as great as I thought. But the sun has been out for a couple of hours almost every day, I'm feeling much better, and even though I have a ton of schoolwork to do, I've finally been able to schedule an introduction to the gym for Saturday, so after that it'll be a lot easier to squeeze in spontaneous workouts. So, all in all, it's not too bad.
  2. This has been a pretty crappy week, for no clearly definable reason. Almost no activity, not even yoga, and eating has been irregular. But, next week will be better, I think. I've tried doing yoga at home, but I suck at getting things done, so I usually end up just not doing it, and then feeling bad about it. Maybe I should give it another go.
  3. I know there is one same time next Thursday, so I'm going to sign up for that one. After that I may have to wait until Spring...
  4. Yoga today was lovely. Very soft, while still managing to make my legs sore, and no positions that felt rough on my joints. Unfortunately, this was apparently not a regular class, so after next Thursday I might have to take regular yoga instead. Not a huge deal, but a pity since this one felt so perfect. I'll be away for the weekend, so no workouts, although there will probably be plenty of walks. Next week is intro to the gym, and then whatever exercises they tell me to do. So far, so good.
  5. Ok, so swimming went well, even though I didn't really push myself. Didn't want to overdo it the first time, but rather work on making it a habit. Arms are tired, though, which feels rather nice. Already looking forward to yoga on Thursday, even though it was supposed to be before school, and school got cancelled. So now I'll be doing 2x1 hours on public transport, for one hour of yoga. Feels a bit silly, but I'd rather not cancel. And besides, I can find some nice library in town, and do some school work. All is well.
  6. I'll be starting easy this week, with swimming tomorrow, and yoga on Thursday. I'll try to book an intro to the gym(s) as well, so that I can get over my fear of getting trapped in the machines and being laughed at by all the other gym goers.
  7. Alright, time to get back on the horse. Valere, 35 years old, living on an island on the west coast of Sweden. Tried doing a SWC about a year ago, but things got in the way and I never finished. Pretty much haven't done any working out since then, but just bought my first ever gym card. A bit terrified because I've hardly ever set foot in a gym, and I'm not good with new things. But, card also includes swimming and classes, so I'll try to get a nice balance between gym work and other activities. I'll probably add to this introductory post when I'm less tired, but I
  8. Now, if you will excuse me, I have to help a man tear down a vestibule.
  9. Just a heads up; because of accumulated stress and a hundred things to do, there will most likely not be any updates for the next couple of days. I'll be around, and workouts and such will continue, but posting will be put on a slow burn. Posting should resume in a few days, though, with renewed energy and focus. What might one do to earn it?
  10. Permit only the front end of gas producing beings to reside inside the fort?
  11. I have not mailed it, because life happened, and when life happens Valere stops happening. Working on that one. But I'm also waiting to hear back from my last boss, to make sure she's ok with me putting her contact information in there, so I have a partial excuse. (Although the fact that I'm using it as an excuse removes most of the credibility, so I guess I just shot myself in the foot there.) Having hours to spend in town today, though, so the plan is to park myself in a café and finish it up before this evening's gathering of rose hips. (Because I'm a hippie.) Going to put it off for a lit
  12. Today has been surprisingly productive. I've only (more or less) finished the first of the application-thingies, but that is actually more than I thought I would get done in one day. But I've been at it for hours now, and my brain is getting dangerously empty, so I'm calling it a day. I'll reread it tomorrow, and get in touch with my reference people, and then I should have it ready to mail on Monday. Since I have been diligent in my work today, but wasn't able to bring it all the way home, I suggest the compromise of one BBWW circuit for each of us, Koaladle. Sound fair? Also managed to tak
  13. You gain much more xp this way. Very efficient. Although, now that I think about it, it could also be that since you're not really a recruit, you've triggered some form of automated, golf-like, handicap system...
  14. I get the feeling I've missed something important... ETA: Woah, shit.
  15. I hate pressure. I hate expectations. But...I really need to get this done...so... Deal. Alas, I am being kept from the marvels that must be that video (it's 'not available in your country'). I guess they think I can't handle it.
