  1. I supposedly have the job, but we'll see. Still hoffing around town (3miles today!) to try and get some more job possibilities. Credit up another 25points! I like this stuff. SO far, so good.
  2. Interview went well-- shadowing wed/fri and the manager was SO laid back I was totally at ease. BIggest thing though, is my credit just jumped another 26 POINTS! I'm almost into the 600! I'm stoked. Time to see about a few more things this week getting corrected by the end of the month, and we'll be well on our way. Also enjoying my size 16 Dockers some more today-- hoping to fit into some women's 14 by the end of the challenge, if not by October in the least.
  3. Not since I've started this particular challenge, but since I joined NF in January, I have officially gone from a size 20 to a size 16-- so far, two sizes! I can JUST fit into a fave pair of Dockers that I haven't worn since BEFORE I had my son (that's soon to be 3+ years now!), and I am STOKED. I've lost this current job I had at the start of the challenge, and I (hopefully) will be starting at a new one come monday (provided that this interview tomorrow @11a EST goes off without a hitch! I'm also hoping to get 1-2 dollar more per hour, so we'll see how it goes.) Everyone here is so awesome, and I want people to know who MIGHT be in a rut or just don't see things going as quickly as they'd like-- NOT TO GIVE UP. //soapbox.
  4. ANOTHER UPDATE: I've officially paid off my school loans. Originally they tried to put the squeeze on me for another $14, but I sent in my letter from the state of Florida's education programs, and sure enough-- BOOM-- my credit score went up another 17pts. SO, since I've been keeping tabs on it, its gone up 57pts total-- SINCE JUNE! LEVEL 11 ACHIEVED-- 'HOT POCKETS' NICKNAME CAN NOW BE USED BY ALL BARDS WIS (3)+1
  5. Aw shucks, thanks. UPDATE: My sport shots I wore for Warrior Dash in June are getting LOOSE. Legpress/deadlifts working awesomeness. (my friend I went to the gym with the other day is getting jealous... which means 'I dun good.')
  6. I've been enjoying it, most verrily! Thanks for all the support, too. (Might try the storytelling to help myself!)
  7. Thanks, Lib'! Much appreciated. Starting @ 208lbs. Goal: 190lbs. Threat of failure: 2 kids' b-day parties, shaved head... annnnnd GO!
  8. I love the Grinch. So in the spirit of Dr. Seuss, this 6 week challenge has a specific goal. While my credit score went up by 35pts total over the last 6 week, and I saved a bit of cash for my Oct trip back home to FL, my goal of a size 14 halted a bit. (This balance stuff ain't easy!) SO, here's the goal posts to get my self in shape: 1. 3 days of super play exercise-- and get my kiddo involved. 2. Start keeping hip, thigh, and possibly arm measurements. 3. Lower stress. LOWER. STRESS. LOW.ER.STRESS. Which should help me: 1. Fit into a particularly awesome outfit I miss wearing. 2. Get back into he groove of another personal goal. Let's go.
  9. No crossfit-- -place is too far from home, and gas to cover it not in the cards right now. HOWEVER-- with my credit report hacking-- I've gone from 10.5k to 4.8k in debt-- and that's a BIG change! More veggies, less bitchin'. WELL on my way.
  10. Its slow going for sure erawka, but totally worth it. I've also changed the picture on my Capital One Credit card to reflect something my dad's always said to me: "That money's just burning a hole in your pocket." SO, now it has flames on it to remind me to think before I whip it out to pay for something. Weight maintaining for now, but looking into going to a CrossFit gym in Lemoyne, PA for one of their nOOb classes to get some help and to just generally check it out. I'll let you know how it goes.
  11. Walking to get the car every other day from the hubby (20min walk, depending on what route I take) and tons more veggies. My son's been an egg fiend, gonna have to get more of them. Another 2 pounds off my butt, and another 5points added to my credit score. Stoked.
  12. Thanks guys-- very appreciative. The soreness is gone, though I wish I had used some more homeopathic help instead of anti-inflammatory drugs. I'm ALSO happy to announce my credit is already getting a facelift-- I disputed some bogus charges, corrected a few others, (and am STILL fighting a bogus claim they're trying to make with my son's state medical coverage) and its already gone up 16pts. Hubby thinks I'm going to melt in the heat here in PA-- but he forgets I'm a Floridian, and I just burn instead. More gym time when I can get it now that my arms don't feel like popping off!
  13. SO, weightloss has been minimal since I've been nursing my Warrior Dash strains, but I'm 10lbs to my first BIG weightloss goal of getting below 200lbs. I'm stoked.
  14. ONE CHALLENGE SECTION DOWN! My 'rents down in FL received something from the FL board of education saying I OFFICIALLY am off the hook, and no longer have ANY fees towards my last college creds! I can FINALLY LOOK into getting back into school for a time, AND wipe another bunch of hokey crapola off my credit. (Mind you, that 14$ is gonna get wiped-- but it looks like ALL my credit debt from school will be gone with that-- that's over 11k!) I'll let you know what I find out, and how my score changes asap.
  15. Wow-- so much awesome here! All the CrossFit stuff makes me ache just reading about it. (Still nursing pretty gnarly arm pain from Warrior Dash.) Keep it up, Lo'!
  16. Wow, looks like things are going well thusfar-- and Africa!? What an awesome adventure that will be!
  17. Thanks guys-- yes, the larger goals are what I'm looking for in the next year or two-- the others are the mini steps eneded to succeed. Payday is friday-- that debt'll be gone for good soon (I can hope!) So far, so good. Having some issues with my arms though from when I ran (jogged, hobbled, smoothly walked) Warrior Dash-- Pennsylvania on Father's Day. Seems all around my elbows are sprained/strained, and only Icey Hot and inflamatory meds are helping-- hard to heal with a 2.75-year old on the loose! Money's tight as usual for us, but I've been wittling down the veggies into a 'well, into the juicer it goes!' group, and also trying to figure out those darn credit scores, and how to get things taken off. Big next step (as my right bicep twinges at me!) is calling my son's healthcare provider and getting his damned card sent to me, and making them send me something proving he WAS covered for a particular event January of LAST year which has YET to be cleared. Silly healthcare.
  18. Eatting challenges: 1. Continue being a 'picky chickie' with my food. 2. Veggies > carbs. = Reprograming my gut. Physical Challenges: 1. Stretching more every day. (Nothing like repetition.) 2. Ween myself off of the gym to do more outside training. 3. Conquer part of the Appalacian Trail between PA 94 and PA 34 = Losing my tummy n butt (hopefully not ALL my butt). Financial Challenges: 1. Pay off last $14 of my school loans from back in 2005. 2. Dispute the credit card I never had 3. Start small again with automated savings. = Raising credit score and saving more.
  19. Wow-- looks like you're really taking things to heart-- I TOTALLY admire that! Keep it up!
  20. I'll be doing the PA WD on June 17th, myself. If I can get the money together, I'll try to do another one-- but we'll probably be moving, so....
  21. Warrior Dash June 17th. I signed up for the 10am wave, and I'm SUPER nervous. I'm here staring my last 2 weeks in the face, trying to see what I should do/not do. I'm almost 90% Paleo, and I'm doing my best to make it to the gym for some weight training 2-3 times a week, and 'free ranging' with a fiesty 2.5yr old at least twice a week. ...Any more ideas? I'm staring my juicer down as we speak, threatening veggies.
  22. Soooo didn't realize there was another challenge going on-- been too busy cooking boneless chix and roasting walnuts. Doh. Also... still can't get my Ranger icon to display in my siggy. Halp?
  23. I actually had some mini 'clumps' come out recently-- been scaring the green day dookie outta me-- weightloss has been steady, but I like the biotin idea.
  24. NOW... to try and do a character spread like everyone else is doing cause I'm a 'conformist.' LOL
