My Christmas tree makes a better lamp than my actual lamp. Does that mean I can use it all year?

Haven't met any in person, but I've heard legend of people who leave their tree up all year, and decorate it for each holiday. Plus, hey, if it makes a good lamp...

Fake tree, white LED lights, weeping angel tree topper (which I really don't want to put away but probably should because I /really/ need to blink. It's been over a month!).
Current plan is to decorate for different holidays using things I would normally just discard (toilet paper rolls are amazingly versatile) or make perler bead decorations; Valentine's day and 8-bit health hearts, for instance.
ALSO TO CONSIDER: My tiny apartment has no available stora...
