  1. wanted to wrap up the challenge with an awesome success post. Down about 25 lb. been off the bandwagon for about a week and a half. but still lost a few pounds.

had Thanksgiving at the in-laws tonight and did an amazing job and not eating too much. I put a stick of gum next to my plate and after it had the plate and a half Inches chewed the gum and skipped dessert.

I talked to my wife beforehand. when her parents asked why I was skipping dessert she said that I lost 25 lb and was shooting to be in range of better life insurance rates in the next month or so.

That is such a noble reason

    Thank you.

It is a two-edged 'big' why. First stating that What and how it works is less important than how you get there...

I have been working to identify my big why for 2+ years, nothing felt real and hit home. I understand the 'play with kids, enjoy sports, live to see their marriage...

But none of them felt real, i did not strongly relate to them.

I am not particularly sure why i feel compelled to give blood, but I hold it as very satisfying...

[ Solom sad song to accompany the hero dieing but the village is granted a second chance to work hard and overcome the fear, but it is up to the village and will be hard]

What I did not relate in the first post.. as a universal Platelet donner I used to donate every other week. After a few bad donations, the switched from double-needle to single needle.

Then "we would not even accept you for platelets except you have been donating"

    It was a heavy day.

  3. Mid Aug I was turned away from donating blood because of high blood pressure. Dec 12, 56 days from them, I have another donation scheduled.

    I hope I can donate.

I have slightly increased my activity. I don't know if it is the best activity (strength vs cardio) I have lost 20#. I have tracked my bp almost weekly.

I have discussed weight, cholesterol and blood pressure with a family doctor under traditional medical and insurance. But only got answer of, eat healthily, exercise right, oh and hear is a pill...

    Fast forward to last week:

The insurance benefit from my employer now includes and an option for Direct Primary Care. The information shared likes promising! It does not start until December 1st. But what could it hurt to ask...

Today, I reached out asking if we can create a plan, even if the plan does not start officially until Dec 1st

I've finally reached a stage where exercising feels like something I like/want to pursue rather than a chore

    The transition is wonderful.

I had a similar transition 2 weeks ago.. but let excuses break the habit... so I need to respawn on it.

  7. Week 2 Report:

    • Manage calorie intake: less than 1700
      • Take a moment to realize what I've have done- Helped me feel great. Still a skill I am getting more natural at it.
      • Food prep by cooking vegetable soup- We had a great beet dish and tomato soup
      • I have been little afraid to weigh in... Did weigh-in - and it was exciting
    • Engage others: Make 1-5  supportive and engaging fitness friends
      • Post to NF rebellion forums - Shoot for daily, 2nd only to calories - did great and it helped me feel better
      • Log to NFA Battel log- Daily. I responded to others in discord, helped me be engaged. I did not post to mine
      • Neighbors
        • Gym Guest pass Monday and Thursday
          • Health insurance will likely change: so i plan to get the gym pass and reimbursement- the reimbursement is not available
      • Chat to a co-worker about Food tracking - ask for support- 3+ helpful conversations did not ask for support
      • Chat to another co-worker about pushup challenge - ask for support- Brought it up, it is not a priority for them right now.
      • Test habit apps- this hinges on helping with daily posts and activity - Setup morning alarm in HabitBull, looks promising
      • Post this post on the fridge. I did, but it was removed early on
      • Added friends (form facebook group for the tracker)in fitness tracker app
    • Be more active Either daily to build habits OR 3-5 times a week to maximize the program.
      • Focusing on Stress management and calories - 7 min work out. I did yard work on Saturday, mowed the lawn (twice to get ready for winter), racked leaves, tilled them into the garden, winterized drip lines, and hose. Walk 1/2 mile on Sunday

    30 days logging calories!!!

I have attempted that 5+ times!

Feels like beating the First level boss. The whole level has been showing you different skills. Either you picked a favorite and where unprepared and died. Or you deliberately did each skill and moved on!

Combining that each skill theory and feeling like I got pass the tracking wall ( it is easier again) part of week 3 plan will be daily activity.

28 days is a full linear cycle

And I kept calories in check on free lunch day ( Marco's pizza)

I followed up on the gym pass reimbursement from insurance it's not going to work out largely because we're changing our insurance December 1st

Stayed up a bit late last night. Work with the wife to decide on Remodel and moving plans oh and kids so basically created A Five-Year Plan with the wife.

Getting closer to figuring out what computer I want to build. Inspected in until 1 but when is checked it forms is recommending AMD again how do you even make

I've been trying to buy a Google home or Google home mini for a long time but the wife is against it. I got one for almost free. And showed her how it and say cell phone speaker. And she's like if I known it could do that then we would have gotten one a long time ago.

Pictures of the bottom cuz I don't know how to put it in a spoiler tag on a mobile phone

he asked me is there any OTHER loop trails

That makes me so excited. There's so much packed in asking for more.

As a follow-up question,  do they really have to  be Loop trails? One thing that helps me with hiking was learning to enjoy the other side of the trees on the walk back.

My original motivation, aside for a desire for hygiene, came from @fleaball doing it for one of her challenges. Glad to see the flame lives on.

I love how this is contagiously snowballing and spreading.
