Would it help to have a physical list of your wins in a place where you can read them...like a bathroom mirror? I think you're doing really well with everything on your plate. *hugs*

Reading Challenges 2021
fitnessgurl replied to Defining's topic in Adventure Parties and PVP Challenges
I'm currently reading Murder, Motherhood, & Miraculous Grace by Debra Moerke. A true account of what can happen in a foster care situation. I plan on reading intentionally as well. I don't want to set a book goal because I am a speed reader & will rush through a book to reach a numbered goal. -
Week two started out with a decent run. Then I got a cold which is pretty much over (thank God for a strong immune system) so I can get back on track. Today is off to a good start.

I had no idea those two things were tied together. As for my let's get started remedy. I play a game. Supplies: 1. Paper, pen, & scissors 2. A timer 3. An index card 4. A cup I write down six things that I need to accomplish, I cut an index card into six sections, number them from one to six & put them in a cup. I pull a number out of the cup, set my timer for 15-30 minutes & go! You can set your timer for longer periods if you want. I usually don't go longer than 30 if I'm doing office work. Breaks are as follows: For 15 minute increments: 10 minute break after three tasks are done For 30 minute increments: Housework = 10 minute break Office work = 15 minute break This sometimes makes my 'workday' a bit longer than a normal persons', but I find it to be much more balanced. Hope this helps! I had done a productivity game thread a couple of challenges ago that also included longer sessions like 'Round 'Tuits. I started it to see if there was any interest in doing it as a community; but didn't get many takers so I didn't migrate the challenge over.

Ahh...the evil trap of perfectionism (at least that's how it plays out for me). I have a method I use to overcome it...let me know if you're interested.

So for my 21 Day challenge, I'm supposed to perform 3 random acts of kindness for 3 different people. The problem? I rarely am out & about except for the gym & groceries. I'm thinking that I should go on to the next day's challenge & spread out the RAK quest throughout the rest of the challenge. Thoughts?

Tales of Owlshire: Year One (Part 1)
fitnessgurl replied to Ann of Owlshire's topic in # 94 01/03/2021
*hugs* I feel the weariness. Even as an introvert I'm feeling it. I do get out & about. I can't hug my friends when I see them & this makes me sad. On the other hand, I don't really get much time alone either. *sigh* It's really messed up.- 125 replies

Bummer about the sleep issues. I know what that's like. Insomnia is the worst! Hoping you get it resolved soon.
