  1. Hey, sorry about the delay. Really #1 goal is feeling better. I'm tired a lot. I have Type 2 diabetes so I'd like to control that with diet and exercise if possible, and weight loss/looking better is a goal but isn't nearly as important as the first ones.
  2. Thanks for the reply! I wouldn't have guessed that was the problem but it makes sense. I was doing it every day because I feel like I'm not making any progress if I don't. What if I were to march 4 days a week and maybe do some basic yoga the other 3 days just so I can keep my brain from getting lazy and not wanting to exercise at all?
  3. Hello all, new to the forum but happy to be here. I started exercising daily a couple of years ago after watching the 23 1/2 hour video on youtube and at first things went great. After a month or so I felt as good as I've ever felt in my entire life. Unfortunately things didn't stay that way and I started to feel the way I'd felt before again. I managed through willpower to keep going for another 2+ months but finally fell off the wagon. I didn't understand what had happened to me. I'm the kind of person who when I get something in my head I may get knocked down but I don't get knocked out, so I talked to a fitness minded friend of mine and she told me I'd hit my plateau. I like to not make the same mistake twice so I've started exercising again, but this time I want to avoid the plateau. So I'm wondering how to go about doing that? The exercise I did before (and am doing again now) is I march in place for 30 minutes every day. I'd walk outside but the weather here is terrible. I usually listen to a podcast or something to pass the time. I've heard that changing the type of exercise I do can help avoid the plateau but my finances are really bad at the moment so my preferred secondary exercise, swimming, isn't an option due to the cost. So I'm wondering what other options I have that would be suitable to help me with my health and avoid the plateau. I'm about 400 lbs so some exercises are outside my ability as of yet. But I can think of a few options and was wondering if they would suffice to keep my body from plateauing. #1 I've seen videos of basic exercises for the obese like mini push ups, sitting down in a sturdy chair and getting up and so on. Also I'm a diabetic so here in my area they have a program which I availed myself of that gives you these rubber resistance bands (which you can find on youtube by searching Diabetes resistance exercise: band workout) that you do a set group of workouts with. I'm wondering if that would also be a suitable option for avoiding the plateau. Thanks for your time.
