  2. So with a day latency my first weekly report. Report on my second week Quest 1: 6/7 at least 15min walk -> A Quest 2: No Raid of any Gas Station happend, all sweets there stayed save -> A Quest 3: 3/3 workouts done. yes!! I like it when I achieve my goals ))) ->A Life Quest: I started with the first two tools to describe and examine. This quest could be a hard one to accomplish till end of challenge. We will see. Let's face the new week and do some work. Currently it is a little stressful at university, it will be quite challenging because learning sucks up willpower like a thirsty vampire.
  3. day 9 / 22-11-2015 Fitness: 15 min walk BWWO 3 rounds felt good today, no sour muscles afterwards. day 9 / 23-11-2015 Fitness: nice 45min walk day 10 / 24-11-2015 Fitness: 20 min walk no BWWO today, felt not that good that evening, due to the lack of sleep last night.

  5. Hehe, yeah I am using linux (arch) now for a year, but I have to push my skills, because I want to do more work in our linux department at work. Awaiting the first snow today, I am really excited. I love to go skiing and winter in general. I think I will do a good long walk today.
  6. Looks quite good! Congrats to the Paleo quest, I would have difficulties with that. I think if you stick with the BBWW a bit you will gain strength so fast that this will motivate you even more.
  7. day 7 / 20-11-2015 Fitness: missed the walk today bodyweight workout 3 rounds, felt better today, I can feel that I gain strength every workout. Had a hard time to begin, and I am glad that I overruled my inner devil.
  8. day 7 / 19-11-2015 Fitness: walk 15min Today i broke my 2 day cycle of bodyweight workout, because my muscles felt a bit sour. And the 3 times a week quest will still be achievable.
  9. Nice to here that you make progress. I am on a chocolate trip too at the moment, sucks a bit . The least I try to do is to by dark chocolate (above 70%) because then I do not get used to the incredible sweet flavor you have when you eat "milk chocolate" (under 50%) The blog you shared is great, thanks for that. I think planning meals for next week will be easy now
  10. day 6 / 17-11-2015 Fitness: walk 15min walk Bodyweight Workout -- I cracked the 3 Rounds and I do not feel totally wasted, only a bit .

Quest 1: 4/4 at least 15min walk -> A Quest 2: No Raid of any Gas Station happend, all sweets there stayed save -> A Quest 3: Due the short week I think i will grad also an A here because I did 2/3 workouts ->A Life Quest: Did not started yet, I think i will apply some Beast Mode today on this quest. I hope all of you had a good week too. Thank you all for your motivation! Mine was enjoyable, I like it when things start going and I am totally motivated for the coming week.

  13. Hi, followed your topic. The goal to climb a mountain is great, it is so rewarding when you get to the top and have a nice view. I like to climb mountains but haven't done it in 3 years, and surrounded by mountains this is a long time

  15. Thank you for your the replies, I think I will implement monthly measurments, and only track them rather then grade them with a goal in mind. Yes it means much to me that she is supportive. I have tried a few things to loose weight and she always was on board. I think this one is not just another try, probably I found a way to stay motivated.
  16. Hi Xena, At them moment it seems to be the easier quest, because it wasn't a very long going habit. It is quite helpful that my girlfriend also wanted to change this behaviour, because there was always some extra loot for her to . I will report here every week because I have weekly grading quests. The rest of the days I will track my activities in a daily Battlelog. @all, I am thinking about to add body measurments/sizes to my maingoal, but I can not figure out what size I will shrink when I loose 20kg (44lbs). Any suggestions here?

  18. Hi, Same Timezone here, I live in Austria. My first challenge is about building some training habits and stop the nightly raid of the gas station for sweets and other unhealthy stuff. Hey add1sun, the trick with the beer is nice. It will be hard for me at the christmas partys (university and company) to avoid some beer. Most times I get away with drinking wine and I love to taste and enjoy a good glass of it.
  19. Introduction: Currently I am studying and finally want to change my body and health in a permanent way. With NerdFitness and the Rebellion I feel confident for the first time to be able to do this. I am a computer nerd and tend to sit the whole day long and do stuff, sometimes important, sometimes a bunch of cat pictures . At the moment it becomes clear to me that I will only be successful in life and job if I get my body in shape and establish healthy habits. Main Goal: Loose 20kg (44lbs) till end 2016 Settings of the log: At the moment I think I will do only keep track of measurements for my first 6-week challenge. This setting may change in future, but for the moment I want to keep it simple to make it easier for me to build a habit of every day communication up here. Here we go! day 1 / 12-11-2015 Fitness: walk 60min --was feeling really motivated today done miniquest 1 day 2 / 13-11-2015 Fitness: walk 15min --used the walk as warm up for bodyweight workout beginner bodyweight workout -- completed 2 Rounds, switched to easy pushups (on knees) because the others are not in range at the moment working on miniquest 2 setup daily battlelog

    Hi, Let's tackle the first mini quest Is your overall quest achievable (over a short or long period of time)? Is it reasonable? I think about 14 months are a good timeframe for the loss of 20kg (44 lbs). I am excited to get fit and weight loss will follow. Do your 3 quests all build towards your main quest in little ways, or are you taking on too much? Do your quests have sub-quests or is it just one thing to focus on? The quests I choose are quite small except the one with the bodyweight workout, this will be the quest were the most willpower is needed.Are your main goals realistic? Can you scale them to smaller steps to fit your life better, even if it will make it take a little longer to achieve them? To get the 100kg (220 lbs) mark is realistic, a year ago I was 4kg (8.8 lbs) away from it when motivation faded out and I stoped exercising. I think with the challenges I will have suitable short term goals and the main goal (end 2016) is not so far away then.Are your goals able to be measured and tracked? What will you use to track them? Yep thanks to "Tatoru Executioner" he gave me some hints to establish exact measurement ability in the quests. I think it would be best for me to write a daily battlelog because I will have a daily task to accomplish here and I can not get in the "tomorow cycle"How are you grading your goals? Are they pass/fail (“every dayâ€, “not even once over the six weeksâ€)? Is there a reward for the effort, or are you only grading yourself on whether or not you “lose the weight†or “run the distanceâ€? I grade them my self with the grading system given by the template challenge, all quest goals are countable. Pass/Fail is different in my quests I have one over the whole timespan of the challenge as well one that is graded every week.What is your plan for continuing/altering/grading those goals if you become ill or injured? I think the best would be to take the reduced timespan in calculation and I would decrease the thresholds for the marks.Did you take into consideration any special occasions (Labour Day, Independence Day, birthdays, anniversaries, etc) that may occur during the challenge? What modifications do you need to build into your goals for those? There should be no interference with my quests and the comming dates.Do any of your main goals conflict with each other? Will one goal make it hard to do another? Only one main goal at this momentDo you already have the time in your schedule to actually complete the goals you’ve set? If not, what are you planning to do to make time for them? Yes the time is there it only depends on me to stand up and do my quests Are you trying to build multiple habits, or is all your energy focused on your main quest? I think the main quest requires some habits to change and others to be created. Probably my main goal is a bit to general in regards to this aspect.
  21. Thank you for your feedback !! I applied some changes for better measurement. For the workout I decided to go with the weekly grading. The Gas Station Raid is a Quest that spans over the whole challenge. Yeah I will start with the mini quests now. Try to do the first one in a sec.
  22. Introduction: Hi I am kkzinger and I jump into my first challenge here. I am a student and on this side most things work and going well. But I struggle to get in shape and have a hard time reducing my weight, so I had a few episodes of training and weight loss without long term success. I figured out that my magic barrier is about 3 months, most times I lose motivation and struggle to keep the habits. I like to go hiking but have not done it in over a year. At the moment I have 114kg and I am stable with it for about a half year. I like the mindset and tools NerdFitness provides and I decided to try it without the academy at first and see how it goes. Main Quest: Lose 20kg till end of 2016 Quest 1: Walk for 15 minutes a day, 5 days a week. I like to go for a walk but often have excuses to keep sitting at the computer Measurement: A = 15 min for 25 days, B = 15min, 20 days, C = 10min, 15 days Reward: A = +3 STA, +2 STR, B = +2 STA, +1 STR, C = +1 STA Quest 2: Do not raid the gas station at night for sweets and other loot. This was a bad habit over the past half year. Measurement applies to the whole challenge time. Measurement: A = 0 raids, B = 1 raids, C = 2 raids Reward: A = +3 CON, B = +2CON, C = +1 CON Quest 3: Ability to complete 3 Rounds of the NerdFitness Beginners Bodyweight workout at the end of the challenge. I tried it and managed to do 1 Round and especially my hips were destroyed for the next day. The Lunges killed me. I will achive this goal by doing 3 workouts a week. Measurement will apply every week. Measurement: A = 3 Times; B = 2 Times; C = 1 Time Reward: A = +3 STR, +2 STA, B = +2 STR, +1 STA, C= +1 STA Life Quest: Do the "Learn linux the hard way" session 11. Basically this is a hard task because it will require 3-4 hours inital work and repetition to learn all the commands that you discovered. I am struggling with this over 2 Months now. Measurment: A = coverd all required list items and extended it by 5 tools; B= coverd all required items; C= coverd 2/3 of the items; D= coverd 1/2 of the items; Reward A = +3 WIS; B = +2 WIS; C = +1 WIS; D = +0.5 WIS; So I would like if someone could give me feedback on my quests.
