  1. Day off, but did a mobility workout again. Feels so good
  2. Got up early and did a mobility workout from a App. OMG did it feel good! It focused on hip opening with a lot of lunges and twists, it was exactly what I needed. Feel like a rusty Hinge. I might do it again tonight and then coat myself in WD-40
  3. Woke up on time and got my workout in. Although I really wasn't feeling it today but I still did it. I might take a break from weights tomorrow and do a mobility workout instead.
  4. I woke up! I had trouble getting to sleep last night so didn't get nearly enough sleep as I needed but I did manage to get up and workout as planned. Not a great workout but I really do feel better on the mornings I get it in.
  5. Out of curiosity, what are the qualities of the purrfect cat gif? Asking for a friend...
  6. My go to when there is no food in the house is eggs. Fried, scrambled, or boiled. Throw it on a single piece of toast or plain with just Lizano sauce on it. So good! Usually keeps me full for a bit and plenty of protein.
  7. Ooh, hiking sounds like so much fun! Have you been able to get on any of those trails? Back pack or not?
  8. #&$@!!!!!! I overslept again! I just am not waking up until my backup alarm goes off. Ugh! So was forced to do my workout this evening instead. So hot too, morning is definitely a bonus there. No jump rope this time, just took a long walk instead. Hopefully I can get some better sleep tonight and actually get up on time.
  9. No workout today (sad). I overslept again and dealt with household drama this evening. I did get to do a yoga routine before bed so that is something.
  10. OK, sooo I woke up on time but then said, Nope need more sleep. Went back to bed but I did do my workout once I did get up a couple of hours later. Sigh... AND, I finally got in a mobility workout in this afternoon.
  11. So I missed my Friday morning workout. I distinctly remember my alarm going off then nothing until my backup alarm was going off. I must have fell back asleep. Tried to get a good night's sleep Friday night but was up washing vomit off of my son in the middle of the night. Looks like the stomach virus is in the house. Saturday is my Saboth and off day, fun day. No workout today but did go to a music class with my daughter. It was fun. Workouts resume tomorrow morning. Everyone wish me luck!
  12. Nice progress so far. Keep it up!
  13. I really didn't want to get up this morning. My alarm went off and I just laid there and thought I could skip today and just go back to sleep. But then I remembered that the whole point wasn't the workout, it's to build the habit. It's to wake up and just go exercise without thinking about it just because that is what you do. So I got up and did my workout. Really sore and out of it still but I did it. I'm glad that I did because I did feel much better afterwards and had a very productive morning at work.
  14. Woke up and did my workout. I stuck to the plan and didn't go running. It was much better this morning, not so jarring to the system. I did use the warmup from the Legend of Zelda Workout. Very nice, going to keep it.
  15. Woke up early and worked out. It really sucked, but got it done. The workout wasn't hard, just trying to wake up and lift weights first thing in the morning is going to take some getting used to. I know I said weights everyday, but I am thinking about taking a run tomorrow morning and just alternate the two.
  16. Did some yoga before bed. I am really not flexible at all.
  17. I agree, as long as I can wake up in time. 20 minutes isn't a lot less sleep but I tend to be a zombie when I first wake up. No conscious thought, just instinct. But when I do workout in the morning it really feels good and sets up a very productive morning.
  18. I was actually starting to make some progress, but after getting knocked down by a prolonged illness I now have to start again from the beginning and make my way back to the Great Palace. Frustrating but what can you do. Going to keep things simple and easy starting from scratch. QUEST #1 Create the Exercise Habit +1 STR, +1 CON Set my alarm to go off 20 minutes early every day. - 5 min warm up - 10 min of 2 barbell exercises - 5 min of jump rope If I can average 5 days a week then I will consider it a success. QUEST #2 Improve Mobility +1 DEX 10 minutes of easy yoga poses before bed. I am just becoming too stiff and tight all the time. EPIC QUEST #3 Bucket List Item +1 CHA I've always wanted to go to a baseball game in Wrigley Field. I'll be in Chicago later this month anyway so went ahead and bought tickets.
  19. If it's not the battery then it's one of your ground wires since you can still jump it off. Trace the grounds and see if one of them is loose or more likely rusted at the connection to the frame. Clean up the rust and tighten the bolt and you should be good.

    H3r0: Witness me!

Thanks! I am starting to enjoy the quiet. 1. Logging food? Yes. Hitting calorie target? 50-50 Although tonight wasn't my fault. I managed to get right on target, but low blood sugar after my workout took carbs to fix. 2. Heavy-ish workout. Dropped the weight a little bit and Bumped up reps to 8's. Good workout until my blood sugar dropped out and I had to call it quits. I even opened it up with the jump rope and a quick set of swings for hair of the dog. (I am still sore from Sunday's sets) 3. So I have turned the corner on my political news junk cycle. Sadly I am finding it has really opened up a lot of free time I have been wasting on that. But so far I haven't really figured out how to fill it yet. Hmmmm

    H3r0: Witness me!

    1. I didn't track my food this weekend. Oh well... I overate on Saturday I know but I did well with food choices Friday and Sunday. 2. Finally got a metcon workout in. Warmed up with the jump rope, hit the back and shoulders, then finished with 10x10 kettlebell swings. I'm guessing that counts. 3. Phone still on lock down, gotta say it is starting to become the new normal. Not really missing it like I was.
