  1. Artemis- That is actually very helpful. My biggest problem with food is quantity. If it's something I like my brain kinda freaks out and I loss control. I've been trying to work on this, but it's like I forget that I'm trying to loss weight when food is around. It's weird. Thank you everyone for the advice!
  2. Thanks, just seeing possitivity like this makes my day better!
  3. I'm in Galesburg, it's only an hour from Peoria!
  4. My friend and I have recently joined nerd fitness, and we are super pumped! Then we realized we don't really know where to start. Let me tell you a little about myself. I'm 23, 5'2 and weigh in at 297. In high school I was extreamly active freshmen year I did wrestling untill my head hit the floor, and I played soccer all for years. After that my depression became even worse then normal which caused me to over eat to the point where I went from a size 18 to a size 24 in a matter of months. After getting that under control (well I wouldn't call my eating habits control) I have slowly been gaining weight ever since. My heaviest being 305. My problem now is that when ever I try to start working out I push too hard and hurt myself. With my excess weight I have bad hips and knees. My friend is in better shape then I am, but it would be nice if we could still do stuff together even though we are at different levels. I would just really like some advice on where to begin. Right now for equipment I have myself and dumbbells that are light weight. Thank you to anyone who can help!
  5. Well I feel acomplished.. I didn't go for fast food today! Which is kinda huge for me.

  6. Hi, I'm Kaitlyn. I've been over weight my entire life and I have finally hit 300 pounds which standing at 5'2 really sucks. I want to change this, and I want the change to stick. Right now my plan is to start exercising 30 min 5 days a week, and the big one is to start cooking and eating at home... I just eat out too much. I'm starting slow and will be working with my friend to make my goals happen. I really like the way Nerd Fitness Academy is set up and I plan on makeing this fun for me instead of seeming like work. Does any one have any advice for someone new?
