  1. Yep, everything's basically becoming routine now. Which is great considering I am graduating from college in about a week. So the real test will be wether or not I can keep this up during finals. Still, a successful week with lots of healthy vegetables and exercising. I really love the feeling of getting stronger and I can't wait to keep amping up my workouts.
  2. I am feeling like this is starting to get easier. I'm not as sore when I work out and I actually look forward to eating the vegetables. I did the bodyweight beginners workout three times this week, actually cut back on my chips by three bags instead of just one, and ate all the vegetables! I am looking forward to this next week.
  3. It is snowmageddon outside, we're supposed to get two to four feet which is crazy because it was 74 degrees on Thursday. I did the beginner's body weight workout from Nerd Fitness one and Nike Training twice. I'm still feeling pretty good about this and want to see myself getting stronger than before. The vegetables for lunch thing is still a little difficult at times since I eat on campus a lot but I am still going strong! I am almost finished with my book, and am hoping to finish it by the end of this week. For the next week I am going to keep going hard, drink lots of water, and dig out my winter coat again.
  4. Week one has come to an end! I did pretty well with my goals and tried running today. I now realize how out of shape I am. Though it shouldn't be that much of a surprise. Guess who hated running the mile in gym class. I did eat at the campus dining hall today and went to go get some steamed broccoli. That was a mistake. It tasted like it had been steaming since yesterday. Still, I feel motivated and even running was kind of fun. Week two, here I come!
  5. Well, things are still going well on my end, though it is only Wednesday. I am feeling a little sore but nothing too overwhelming. We shall see if I can train myself out of the bad habits and replace them with good habits.
  6. Thanks! I'll start shopping around for veggies when I go grocery shopping.
  7. Does anyone know of any super cheap foods that are good for snacking? I've tried eating fruit but I always get hungry thirty minutes later. I just need something to stave off hunger in between meals.
  8. That's what I was thinking. I feel like one day wouldn't be enough and that it might actually hurt to not do more. If it does become too much I can always back off. Right now I really am just experimenting to see what works for me. But I actually didn't hate working out as much as I thought I would. I can still barely do one push up but everyone starts somewhere.
  9. So today went well. I walked, ate my veggies, didn't eat my chips, and did a body-weight exercise. I just finished my daily reading so all in all, I'm doing good. Though, I think I might add on a day or two of exercise just because I feel like only doing one a week won't challenge me. So I'm going to try and work out two more times this week and see how I feel. If I don't feel too overwhelmed, then my goal will be a bodyweight exercise three times a week. I'm still trying to figure out what I can do and what I feel able to do but I still think this goal is reasonable. I will update tomorrow!
  10. Thanks. I love reading so I'm probably most excited about that part. I'm going to be reading The Omnivore's Dilemma to start with. My ultimate goal is to read 1000 books before I die so better get started on that. As for body weight, I was thinking of doing the Nerd Fitness Beginners workout and maybe some workouts from the Nike Training Club App. I've used it before in the past and liked it (though I remember a lot of burpees). Anyways, here's to a new day.
  11. Serves: 2 Ingredients: 1 Head of Cauliflower 2 Eggs 1 Avocado, cut into cubes 2 Green Onions, sliced thin 2 tablespoons of Coconut Oil (or any oil of your choice) Hot Sauce (Optional) Directions: Cut the Cauliflower into florets and grate it using a cheese grater In a large skillet, add the coconut oil and cook the cauliflower rice on medium heat until golden brown, about five minutes While the cauliflower is cooking, heat a skillet over medium-high heat and put the eggs in Cook one minute each side, less if you want the yolk runny Put half the rice in one bowl and the other half in another. Top with the eggs, avocado, green onions, and hot sauce. Enjoy! *Note: I'm a pretty small person so you might need to beef up the recipe with more eggs.
  12. So I've been trolling around Nerd Fitness for awhile and have yet to do a challenge. Food: I am going to eat a vegetable for lunch everyday. I usually manage about two to three times per week but I really want to make it every day. I am going to eat one less bag of chips each week. Exercise: I will walk ten minutes every day. I will do one 30 minute body weight workout each week. Life: I will read twenty minutes a day. I want to try and do it before bed but I also know that some nights I feel too tired to do anything. I'm excited to start and excited to level up.
