  2. Ooh, I might try that. I have seen a couple of different flavours of tea (lemongrass, rose etc.) that I would like to try. Honestly? I love a cold can of coke far too much to give up yet. Thank you! I fell in love with the soundtrack before I ever got to see the show and when I did, I cried! Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  3. I love tea! The problem is that if I am going to drink it, I will put about 3 sugars in (far too much!) Cutting it out completely has been a good step. I think I will just make the transition to diet, it's generally cheaper than regular (from what I've found) - cutting out caffeine is a challenge that I will do...one day... But thanks, you're right, caffeine curfew will help with sleeping at least! Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  4. Measurements: * Chest 33" * Ribs 28" * Waist 25" * Hips 34" * Thighs 21" * Calves 14" Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  5. So yesterday was a bit of a trial! A party downstairs meant no sleep Sunday night (like, none). I didn't get to Hot Yoga and no bodyweight - not the best day. However! The only way is up! Weight: 57kg Breakfast: * Smoked salmon bagel with cream cheese (low fat) and red onion * Banana * 1/2 can Coca Cola Lunch * Garlic and chili prawns with spinach leaves * Apple * Berry Cherry Nakd bar * Thai Sweet Chili Crisps * Can of Diet Coke Snack * Thai Chili Chicken Crisps * 1/2 Can of Diet Coke Dinner * Fish, chips and peas with salad Again, not a great dinner as it was an early birthday celebration for my Mum and my sister took us out. I will start taking measurements as well. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  6. So today is probably not the best day to start a battle log, but I guess there's no time like the present. So! No work out today, I was still recovering from DOMs due to yesterday's workout. Breakfast consisted of: Toasted bagel, low fat cream cheese, smoked salmon and red onionBanana Can of Diet Pepsi Lunch was: Tuna and Salmon fishcake200g Wholegrain Egg Fried RiceSpinach and red onion salad with Balsamic Vinegar dressing (only a bit) Snacks included: AppleBerry Cherry Nakd Bar Thai Sweet Chili Crisps Another can of Diet Pepsi Dinner was less than admirable with: Scampi and ChipsLarge Coke We went out to eat and it was part of a meal deal :/ Tomorrow shall be better! Yoga tomorrow! And no eating out!
  7. Hey! Merry meet! Yoga is so helpful for anxiety - I've heard a lot of good things about NF Yoga, but trying looking up some Yin Yoga - it's suppose to be very restorative and quite a nice balance to the power yoga. I've never tried Reiki, but that's another thing that's suppose to be excellent
  8. I wish I could give you some tips for squats, but honestly? I still need someone to spot my form with squats :/ They are tough! As for recipes? We have a mean lamb chop recipe that involves sprinkling lamb chops with rosemary, taking the excess skin off of a couple of cloves of garlic (the white paper-like bit, leave the shell covering over the bulb) wrap this up in tin foil, pre-heat the oven 200*, stick it in for 40 minutes and leave it cook in it's own juice, once done pair with some veg and mint sauce - the roasted garlic is absolutely delish! And mint sauce is heavenly! If your a vegetarian, try the roast garlic anyway, seriously, it's so yum and not strong like raw garlic at all!
  9. Hey! Congrats on the success you've been having at reaching your goal, 100lbs is nothing to be sneezed at! The way I've been keeping on track is to find healthy things that I actually like and want to continue eating. It sounds so simple, but it makes a easier on my willpower when I get tempted with a Mars bar or something to be like 'oh, I'd rather not, I'll have a banana instead' because I actually like bananas and, bonus, they are better for me. I hope you reach your goal!
  10. Fair play for restarting, sometimes the hardest thing is picking yourself back up and getting back on the horse! Good luck on your goals
  11. Oh! I found tracking a great idea too! 5 -6 is what I was usually drink on a bad day, normally I'm drinking 3 -4, but I've switched to the diet stuff after my Dr. said she would rather drink poison than full-sugar pop! But I'll certainly try swapping out the pop for something else; although it's hard to let go as it's my last sweet thing (no chocolate, no sweets, no ice cream - if I crave a sweet food, I'll generally reach for a banana or apple) AND it's my only caffeine source (coffee makes me feel a bit sick)
  12. Having fun goals is always good for motivation! And congratulations for feeling like a whole new person Definitely time to celebrate with fun things!
  13. Hi, my name is elphiegrl (not my real name). I am 26 year old, from the UK and 2015 has been my year to kick my fitness and health into check and I plan to continue this into 2016 and beyond. The character Elphaba (from the musical Wicked) has always been an inspiration for me, I admire the way she stands up for what she believes is right and to fight for it - and this has kind of spilled over into this because I spend most of my time trying to defy gravity in one form or another - bodyweight, yoga and pole! I have already lost about 10kg and now it's just keeping my weight down and increasing my overall strength and flexibility, and keeping up my passion for life! I have just started to incorporate more bodyweight into my workout routines - starting with elevated push ups and assisted pull ups, but I want to get to the point where I am doing this unassisted. In terms of diet, I am slowly cutting out processed sugar, although pop has always been a weakness of mine - I am aiming to get my 2 litres of water in. I have many *specific* goals I want to achieve - my first handstand, my first Upward Bow (Urdva Dhanurasana/Bridge) and eventually my first Bridge Kickover. Not to mention the many, many pole moves that evade me. I hope to see you all around the forums, and good luck on your own paths!
  14. Hey! Those goals sound awesome! I know what you mean by having so many goals that it's hard to keep up And I really love your character sheet Good luck to you
