1. I'm in Nashville/Nolensville area, and I'm partial to all the YMCAs of Nashville. I have been to the FAC near the Franklin Y, and it's cheaper, but has all the equipment. Not sure about the yoga, though.
2. We are coming over for the first week in October-London 2 days, Edinburgh 1 day, and then finishing off with 3 days in Dublin. Thanks for this thread, great to read. Any rebels that live in these cities, would love if anyone wants to meet up at a pub one evening!
3. Going the first week of October. Aside from Guiness and Ha'penny, what else should we do? Any pub recommendations?
4. Body Pump is great if you are a beginner and will help you learn each muscle groups to be exercised. I now do free weights.
5. Hello! I frequented Steve's blog and these forums last year, and loved the people I met and the knowledge/information that others had to pass on. I have always strived for fitness as a lifetime habit, but before I found NerdFitness, I had hit a bit of a plateau and was not sure what to do next. I Google searched fitness topics and theories. Then I came across this :http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2010/02/01/what-burns-more-calories-cardio-intervals-or-weight-training/ Definitely opened my eyes. My fitness routines consisted of rolling around on the elliptical and I lifted weights, but only little and light weights, as well attended my gym's Body Pump. Now, a year and a half later, I've increased my squat from squatting with 5 lb dumbells to 115, benching from the bar to 95 lbs. I still use the elliptical, but only as a supplement (like walking) and added in Zumba and Cardio Blast classes for interval training. I also have dropped from 26% to 22% BF in the last two years. So, a month ago, at my gym in Nashville, I was walking to my class and, who is standing near the pullup station? Steve! I went right up to him and introduced myself and proceeded to tell him my lifting stats Needless to say, I was a little starstruck! Such a nice guy. I've seen him a couple more times around (doing his gymnastics and pullups), but leaving him alone, ha ha. Thanks, Steve, for the inspiration! (trying to add pictures, and it's not behaving-refer to my profile for before and after pics)
6. Everyone is different. I've found my happy medium with two-a-days 6 days a week, averaging 1-1.5 hours a day with a combination of running, elliptical, Zumba, and lifting heavy weights. I also work a sedentary desk job. I don't do yoga, but I would think of yoga as a supplement to your lifting and cardio.
7. ME! I just pre-ordered Inferno Dan Brown for Kindle...Can't read til May 14 though
8. Glad someone else likes conspiracy prophecies... I'm happy with the casting for Daario, though-google Ed Skrein. Can pull off that smug swaggery we all hate...

11. I'm a huge pasta fan, and love spaghetti squash, but knowing it isn't noodles, still takes away from it for me. I cook it a little longer, since I don't like the al dente "crunch", as the spag squash is crunchy naturally. I resort to gluten-free noodles if I don't use the squash. But "hiding" it with ground beef or turkey, sauteed onions and garlic in low sodium tomato sauce seasoned in herbs and red pepper is usually how I make it and it's pretty yum.
12. Was seriously sick of my usual 2 eggs and turkey bacon this morning, decided on Subway's 3 inch Southwestern Ham and Egg White flatbread with onions and peppers...mmmmm.
13. it can go either way. I view them as paleo. http://www.quora.com/Paleo-Diet/Are-green-beans-Paleo-friendly
14. They should be soft enough to slightly press your finger in. Then you can freeze them
15. I cook my stirfry in low-sodium chicken broth with some squirts of Sriracha sauce, if not a little olive oil. I like loko moko-pan fry a burger patty in a pan, save the drippings. Top with a fried egg (egg whites for me), and place this over "riced" cauliflower and drizzle over the whole thing with drippings.
16. http://www.quora.com/Paleo-Diet/Why-are-beans-not-Paleo-friendly You have to soak, grind, or do something to its rawest form to be consumable. Green beans are okay, as they can be consumed in its raw state. I actually never ate beans with the exception of the occasional chili before discovering paleo, so I don't really miss them. I think they're okay every now and then.
17. Ohh I forgot Revenge. It seems fluffy, but it's actually very good.
18. Try making your own, so you know what's in it. For me, I don't like it plain, I put in lemon juice, cilantro, red onions, and jalapenos. Recipe I use:
19. Beans aren't paleo, because in its purest form it is basically poison for your body. I would cut them out...
20. I can attest to this. I did about 80-90% primal for 3 weeks (until I had to throw a party), and let's just say I found a major difference in bathroom issues. Now, I just try to eat as clean as possible on primal, avoid grains, breads, etc.
