  1. I had a bit of a murder she wrote phase as a teenager. I'm Antony, by the way. Skinny-fat ex smoker/barbell addict.
  2. You're doing very well at resisting temptation, I'd have eaten all the pizza in your position. Like seriously, all of it.
  3. I can't speak for cryosilver, but I'm 7 weeks off them myself. I get about 3 cravings a day, each day is a little easier. Good luck with cutting down!
  4. Me and Mrs Fox gave geocaching a go earlier this week, we both had great fun. We're going on a couple of hiking trips next year and hoping to find some caches while we're out and about.
  5. Thanks! So far so good...ended up blending everything frozen in my house on day one to get to 5 fruit and veg as I'd forgot to go shopping. I've had two decent workouts and batch-cooked a mass of food for lunch for the week,I'm looking forward to getting back in the gym on Friday. Thankyou
  6. So lifting without a belt may be better for my back? Noted, cheers. I may have to look into getting some chalk, deadlifts can get a bit slippy.
  7. Hi all, long time lurker asking a probably fairly stupid question. Roughly how much difference would a belt make to my squats and deadlifts? 5%? 15%? How about chalk? Are there any downsides to using them, such as less conditioning for the back in the case of the belt? And how big can my biceps get before I find it hard to wipe my own bum? This guy is gonna require some assistance, right?
  8. Okay, figured I'd give this four week challenge thing a shot. Male, 24 years old, 176cm tall, 73kg, approximately 21% body fat I'm not terribly overweight but I've never been really healthy, smoking since I was 11 and drinking/taking hard drugs since I was 13. However, I'm no longer a user and I've been smoke free for six weeks or so. So let's see what this body of mine can do. Diet -Eat five portions of fruit and vegetables each day Not actually too hard as I like vegetables, but I'm usually too lazy to eat properly, so just getting it done will make a big difference. -Swap out one sugary latte for black coffee each day This one might be hard, I drink an obscene amount of coffee, almost always lattes. Fitness -Exercise three times per week I'm quite inconsistent with exercise at the moment, only going once or twice a week, so making the most of my gym membership seems like a good change. Level up my Life -Pay off some of my credit card debt each week (any amount, just some kind of progress) Seriously, this needs sorting out. All right! Wish me luck!
  9. Hey there, I'm new to this whole `health` thing. I'm a big sci fi and fantasy geek, with a love for DnD. In the last four weeks I've stopped smoking and started weight training, and I'm loving the journey so far. I've been reading up on nutrition and plan to incorporate more flexibility work and cardio into my routine fairly soon, so I'm gonna say I'm an adventurer for the time being. Physically, pretty average other than poor health, so I'm gonna go human for race. Current goals: Touch my toes Run a 5k Do 10 pull ups Deadlift twice my bodyweight
