  1. Level One: Get. Successfully completed the challenge and had my first drink of something that ISN'T water in 4 weeks. It was ..underwhelming. Back to water I go. Completed Challenges: Drink exclusively water for 4 weeks - A+Take medicine every day for 4 weeks - A1 Minute Horse Stance - A
  2. Sorry for the lack of updates, guys. Both my anxiety and health have taken a turn for the worse, I'm afraid. I believe I'm developing bronchitis [suck!] and I'm snowed-in without a way to my college's health center or the doctor. The overall challenge has still been going swimmingly, though. Been drinking purely water, and loving it, and only missed taking my medicine once so far. As for the 1 minute Horse Stance.. I completed it? I suppose I should have specified to where I can do it without strain, but otherwise, that part of the challenge is complete!
  3. Peridot gives me life. I've seen up to the latest episodes but this gif just captures her perfectly-
  4. Thanks Teirin. :3 Just got back from a walk around campus and WOW did I forget how many stairs there are to the amphitheater. Still my favorite spot around, though. As for the eating.. I don't know what it is about the school or what changes when I arrive, but I just don't feel the urge to eat while here. I lost -10 pounds- last semester merely because I wasn't eating enough. Or, I'd get so hungry and weak, that I'd cave and order a pizza.
  5. On to the biggest part of my challenge... college stress. I have to will myself to eat at LEAST twice a day, especially on my karate-days. Otherwise: Wish me luck, fellows.
  6. I am. :3 Taking it at my college, currently.
  7. Thanks, Teirin! An update to the challenge: I feel as if my body is demanding more sugar now that I'm not getting any from my drinks of choice. Weaning myself off of sugar will likely be my central goal of the next challenge. In other news, the water and medicine part of the challenge are going well! Almost a week and a half of pure water, and 6 days of taking my medicine. Woo! I -really- need to improve on the duration of my horse stance, though.
  8. My school teaches Shotokan with a light mix of self-defense techniques. :3 I had taken TaeKwonDo when I was younger and realized how much I missed martial arts in general.
  9. Thanks! I'll consider drinking seltzer water, but to be honest I've never really been a person to get "bored" by the regular stuff. For now, especially since I don't have transportation to the store, regular bottled water will have to do!
  10. I like the idea of focusing on self-care.
  11. It's time. IT'S TIME. For what, you may not have asked- BUT I'LL ANSWER ANYWAY! IT'S TIME... to get strong. Powerful. Bad. Ass. Becoming a certified and recognized badass takes time and effort, of course. The first of which I have in spades. The second.. ehh. [i'm lazy] A Bit About Me: I'm a 5'9 1/2, about 145 pound 18 year old girl who is currently attending college.I'm currently taking karate at my college [going on 6 months now!] and will continue after my classes are over.My Goals For This Challenge: Taking My Medicine Daily - It looks gross and tastes gross, but damn if it doesn't do well for my mental health.Water World - Drinking exclusively water. Liquid calories are no bueno.1 Minute Horse Stance - This is mainly to strengthen my knees; I've always had joint problems, so this SHOULD help. Any other suggestions would be welcome!Current Badass Level: Kitten. I have claws but no idea how to use them- Suck. This challenge is mainly to show myself that I CAN stick with something. There aren't any fitness-specific goals, only because of my Karate classes twice a week, which don't necessitate a goal at the moment. 3 is also a nice number.
  12. Hi Shirley! Welcome to the Rebellion! How often do you do your bodyweight routine per week? As one of the Rebellion's core guidelines, "You can't outrun your fork." Rice in your meals may work for you, though it also a carb-heavy food that may hinder fat loss. You might be better focusing on exercise habits or finding a replacement for the rice instead, and building the framework for later. As for the amount of exercises you do each session, I feel as if a little bit of simplification might be nice. For example, by pressing your stomach against your spine (sucking in your gut) and holding it in while you do your pushups and squats, you'll be strengthening those core muscles without specifically having to do ab exercises. So those would exclude the need for the slimming skaters and ab exercises. As for registering for the 4 week challenge, I believe that all you need to do is declare your challenge and goals on the Challenge Thread. Here is most of the information for the challenges: http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/75872-challenge-and-class-changes-and-updates/ and as an assassin you would post your challenge here: http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/forum/489-assassins/ I hope this helps!
  13. Would you be interested in doing a PvP with me for the next 4 week challenge?
  14. I wholeheartedly suggest the PE class. I was lucky enough to have a karate class at my school, so I'll be taking those for the next three or so semesters. Are you more of a morning or night person? And gosh, don't get me started on the dining hall. D: The chefs try, but... ech.
  15. Gosh, I just bought Fallout 4 a few weeks ago [LOVIN ME SOME SYNTHS. And ghouls. Just.. yes. <3] I'm actually in the process of saving up for my own gaming desktop to be used at my college, because my laptop is -not- cutting it. Good it is for Photoshop. Art? Heh.... no. Not at all. Oh, and the pre-requisite streaming of silly games, in this case it's a dating sim, to the amusement of my friends.
  16. We're actually in the same boat! I've just completed my first semester of college myself as a Graphic Design major. College can really be tricky with the dining hall and how varied your schedule can get. Have you considered any health or PE classes? They're a great way to get started physically, especially if you intend to focus on diet more at first. I wish you luck, Meghan!
  17. Welcome to the team! Do you have any ideas of what types of vegetables you may enjoy? I'm a bit of a picky eater myself, so onions and broccoli are really the only veggies I have going for me. I wish you luck!
  18. Thanks! Steven Universe is -such- a good show, though I've been meaning to catch up on Gravity Falls too.
  19. I'm.. a bit of a nerd. "How much of a nerd could she possibly be?", you ask. Enough to recite "I. AM. COMMANDER MOTHERF*CKING SHEPARD" while exercising for extra motivation, perhaps. Enough to visualize myself sprinting away from Halo's Elites and Grunts for that extra kick. Enough to put myself in the mindset of different characters for confidence's sake. Yeah. I go by Echo or Cheshire, whichever floats your boat! The reason why I'm here... Well, I've been reading NerdFitness for close to 5 years now, I think. Gotta start young, yeah? And with anxiety constantly looming over my shoulder, and the huge transitions that college has brought me, I'd like to kick life's ass and have control over something. And that something happens to be me. I WILL take control over my life. My body. My responsibilities. I WILL fight tooth n' nail to become stronger, to become fierce, to not be afraid to fight back. Here's to being in it for the long run, yeah? [i will also be joining the Monk's Guild this go-around. Karate OP!]
