  1. Jeez, sorry for not updating in a few days! REPORT for WEEK ONE: I'll be honest, I just was NOT prepared to start this week. I did TRY to keep up my workouts. but I just had no stamina so I could not do as many reps. I think it's because of work- which is a workout in and of itself (running, lifting, reaching, pulling). I've been slowly eliminating sugary drinks more and more. And the way I did that was by prescribing that I had to drink a certain amount of water in a day and wasn't allowed to drink anything else until that water was gone. So I have this 2.2 liter water bottle that I've been filling up all the way every day. The first few days I didn't drink even half of that. But then I really picked up on it on wednesday and am now drinking all of it every day. It seems to be working, as I have been drinking less sugary drinks. I'm going to keep up the same pace for this week, but next week I might increase the amount of water that I have to drink. Nothing new to report about getting a new car. I had a person who was willing to give me theirs, but I have no way to go get it, and apparently they cannot bring it to me. I'm really banking on my parents getting a day off so we can use their car to go and get this other car. From there I'll have to figure out whether it's fit for delivering mail, or if I should try to trade it in for a different car. Now about my self-defense goal. I'm actually just going to wait on that one until I CAN join a class. There's another health matter that I find slightly more urgent, and also a little more within my control. My diet is sooo full of junk food. I want to go paleo, or at least SOME kind of low carb diet instead of all the sugar, starch and grains my poor bod is having to cope with right now. So my new goal is to be eating at least one low-carb meal a day by the end of the challenge. I'm beginning this new goal TODAY. I will go and change the first post to reflect this new goal now.
  2. Sure :3 I will post it once I get it done! It's kind of for this site anyway~
  3. I like your goals- good luck on your challenge!
  4. Sounds like you've got as many irons in the fire as I do. Good luck on your quest!
  5. Hey, I've put up a new challenge thread! it's right here: http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/77989-lissa-throw-a-couple-more-irons-in-the-fire/
  6. Alright! New challenge! I feel like I should give some kind of update about how my life is going. I became a little unresponsive during the last challenge. Not because I'm not interested, I've just been so busy! I've gotten my license and am now driving every chance I get. Work is pretty spotty, though, due to me not having my own vehicle. I've got like a million projects going on- I've suddenly decided I'm interested in psychology, I'm writing a few stories, I've started this pixel art thing. Family is doing pretty well, so no news there. CHALLENGE: FEB 1 - FEB 26 MAIN QUEST: GOAL 1 - Eat at least ONE low-carb meal every day. GOAL 2 - Get basic parkour workout up to 4x12 (workout 2x a week) GOAL 3 - Stop drinking sugar (over the course of this challenge, completely phase sugary drinks out of my every day diet) LIFE QUEST - Get my own car So this time around I decided to try picking up a new skill- self-defense. I'd love to take some kind of martial arts class, but that's out of the question until I get my own car. I just live too freaking far away from everything. I'm continuing with my progress with the parkour basic workout, which consists of squats, push ups, pullups, and leglifts. I decided I want to stop drinking sugary drinks all the freaking time because it makes me feel like I'm putting my body through something bad, and also because I want to decrease my body fat percentage from %38 down to %30. I'm going to get my own car this month so I can finally pick up more work and actually go out and do things during the day while my parents aren't home. Gosh, sorry if this topic is such a mess! I'm really having trouble organizing my thoughts on account of all these irons I've got in the fire.
  7. Well here we are at the last day of the first challenge... over all it's gone really well. I've accomplished so much over the past month... more than I have in a while. I set out on a quest to increase my energy, strength and stamina and that's definitely happened. 1. I'm sleeping better than I ever have, even though it's not a biphasic schedule on most nights. I wake up feeling like I actually slept enough! So I give myself a %95 2. I succeeded in increasing my basic parkour workout up to 2x16. So I give myself a %100 3. I haven't managed to settle into any solid routine of running with my dogs, so I have to give myself %60 on that one... I tried, but I just couldn't seem to find time or energy for it. 4. I actually did manage to get my license. I can't believe it happened so fast. I give myself a %100 on this one. That gives me an 89% overall for this challenge. I'm already working on defining my next challenge goals. There's so much I want to do that it's hard to narrow it down! Anyways, I guess that's all there needs to be said.
  8. omg it was such a busy week! I haven't had time to update until now. Earlier this week I completed 2x14 of my basic parkour workout. I've run with the dogs maybe once this week. The rest of my week has been work. I'm tellin ya... working mail is a tough job some days... I showed up at work at 7:30am and I was out delivering packages until 7pm! In other news I'm almost done painting my room. The walls look good but my room is so full of clutter that I really have to clean all that up before I say the room itself looks good. Alright, I'm gonna go pass out for a while before I have to go do errands today.
  9. Well I'm freaking exhausted so I'm not going to make this a long post. OK so yesterday I completed 2x12 of my Basic Parkour Workout. TODAY I ran the dogs. ALSO I'm driving on my own now It's not as bad as I thought. I'm painting my room, which should take a few days. So today was all about cleaning and spackling the walls. I'm exhausted from all of the walking and standing I've done today. Gonna go hit the sack now.
  10. Went through this really bad earlier today- I just wanted to buy EVERYTHING! It's why I"m always out of money :I
  11. If you are really interested in remembering dreams, just do your best every morning to recall as much as possible and maybe even write them down. Or if you aren't wanting to bother with writing them down, you could try telling them to somebody. After a while you'll remember them more and more.
  12. Thanks guys!! X33 sorry bout not posting in a few days. Life got in the way as the very next day I got called in to work. All of this adulting is exhausting. Haven't done my workout since earlier this week... have practiced on the pull up bar a few times. Imma try to get in full workout today and get back on track with mah dogs this coming week.
  13. Well, I absolutely can't believe it, but I am now legally allowed to drive a car without anyone else in the vehicle. It was pretty nerve-wracking.... I think the tester was purposefully not giving me any visual feedback about how I was doing. Btw, while I was out on my test a fucking CHICKEN ran out in front of me! wtf?? XDDD
  14. X33 thanks ya'll! I'll do my best! *Fist pump*
  15. REPORT for JANUARY 13, 2016 - WEDNESDAY Alright! I worked out... a lot. Jumping jacks to warm up and then I tried a bunch of new yoga poses cause I suddenly got inspired by a youtube video. They were all too hard but it was funny to try XD Then I ran/walked 2 miles! That brought me 2 miles closer to Mordor. Finally ran a couple of my dogs. Didn't get enough sleep last night, so I took a nap and had the strangest dream about a place full of waterfalls that were going backwards. Also there were these crystals everywhere that seemed to have lightning jumping between them. And there might have been some snow and ice involved, too? I was with 2 guys from youtube called Rhett and Link (Good Mythical Morning). The place we came to was so scary but they didn't seem that worried. Then I realized I had a baby strapped to my chest in one of those harness thingies and I was like "Oh my god! We shouldn't have brought this baby!" and so I was sort of curling up around the baby trying to protect it from lightning. It was a gorgeous place but I was scared the baby would get hurt. Well, tomorrow's my driving test. 2pm. Wish me luck!
  16. REPORT for JANUARY 12, 2016 - TUESDAY Completed my squats, push-ups, pull-ups (Assisted hang), and leg lifts workout. Did 2x12 earlier. Did one more circuit later because I felt restless. Arms getting stronger- hopefully I'll be doing pull-ups in no time. My driving test is scheduled for 2pm on Thursday. Do not feel ready but that doesn't really matter because it's happening anyway. Plus there's a ton of shit happening in my life that I don't feel ready for so what's one more thing? Just realized I haven't been talking about my sleep! It's been going really well- I've gotten enough sleep almost every single night. I usually wake up feeling ready to get out of bed. My sleeping pattern has reached a point where I will wake up in the middle of the night briefly to get a drink, pee, etc, and sometimes even ponder about my dreams. But I'll usually go straight back to bed until morning. So I think it may be the beginning of a biphasic pattern emerging here. I'm interested to see how it develops. Haven't run my dogs at all this week, but there's still time!
  17. omg that OKCupid thing sounds hella awkward... Are the girls on there any better?
  18. Wow- seems like you're making progress towards your weight goal! And I really like your writing style! It inspires me to get going with writing my own story.
  19. Alright so on Saturday I practiced jumping and landing like the beginner's guide to parkour had said. Basically I just found a bench and practiced jumping up onto it with my whole body, then I turned and practiced jumping down and landing. I did that 2x10 times. I need to practice two-handed vaulting and precision jumps, and I can't currently locate a place to do that... But I'll keep searching. There's a park nearby with exercise equipment that I might be able to use for that. On Sunday I practiced driving. It was tricky and I was nervous the whole time... I hope I'll be ready to take my test on Wednesday.
  20. Glad to have you! Aw thanks! Yeah, it has been really nice talking with people. Reaching out to people is something I haven't done in a while so it's been a sort of healing exercise.
  21. Hi, sorry it took so long to get back to you. I didn't even notice my status could be commented on! I noticed you like Firefly- I haven't seen much of the show, but I have played the board game! Have you?

  22. Hey, I really like your shapeshifting idea! I'm gonna follow along with your thread.... Also, it looks like we have some things in common- Pisces, and I didn't put it in my sig but I"m also in Ravenclaw.
