Sooo, he's a big boy, right?  Let him pick them out, or show him the peanut butter jar.....

Think of how awesome local farm work would be!

Fit as hell from lifting goats and hay bales and stuff!

Save money on gym memberships!  Functional strength right in the real world!

Eat all the food you want because YOU'LL NEED IT~

Also LOVELY ANIMALS AND FRUIT TREES!  And maybe some allergies!  And stepping in poop!..... hmm....................

Hide your hair from zee goats. Goats love long hair ( maybe hair in general).  I once ( in a galaxy far, far away) had to pull my entire braid out a goats throat.  Can you say, ewww?

    Oh, and following......

  3. 1:2 stats:

    7.87 miles

    17,726 steps

    403 calories left after dinner

Another 2 mile walk with boy-o and doge.  Didn't go on hellmachine today, but between grocery shopping and 1 1/2 hours of mowing got my miles/steps in. And mowing has to work more of me out, since I am the "self" portion of my self-propelled lawn mower.  (we found out why it was so cheap when we got it home, haha).

So, didn't think it was gonna happen, but another A+ day!  Yee-haw!

  4. Week 1:1

So far, so awesome. I wish every day could be like this. I know, I know, they can.  But you don't know me like know me.

    Stats:

     9.06 mile

    17,788 steps

213 calories left ( after myfitness adjusted for my exercise.  And allowing for dinner, which I alrwady input since I already know what it is)

Went on a 2 mile walk with doge & boy-child (boy, don't tell him I called him that, no really, don't).

Did 5.2 on the hellmachine.  Guess the rest of the mileage was from puttering around the house and playing outside with said doge.

All in all, today is an A+, unless i srew it up later somehow.

    I took melatonin at camp to help sleep because I was So Hype, it worked but I had some really weird dreams. Benadryl just makes me feel like a corpse. ; ;

Melatonin gave me awful headaches, and didn't help the sleep issue that much.  So I quit taking it

YAY KNITTING, what are you knitting??  I've tried to knit a few times but anything more than knitting a large square gets me all complicated.  Bleh.

I am starting a mindless blanket. Which is turning out to be not quite mindless due to my yarn choice.  Baby steps, it can be hard to learn to knit.  I did lots and lots of garter before I moved on.  For more complicated profe ts I recommend using markers on all repeats.  This makes it easier to find and correct boo boos.  Also use a plain yarn, nothing nubby or textured. It's hard to see the stitches with those.  (Which is why my mindless blanket is not so mindless.  Nubby yarn can be a pain, but makes pretty stuff) . Keep trying, don't main anyone with your needles (this can be an almost irresistable urge when some one interupts you {I'm counting, damn it} ) and I hihly recommend joining Ravelry.  They people there are wonderful, and willing to help and support.  Let me know if you join, I'll friend you!

Yep... all the delicious stuff is unhealthy, and all the healthy stuff is sub-par, or at least that's how it seems a lot of times.

That seems to be true of all foods.  Which is why I eat like crap.

Life is too short to eat styrofoam......

I love benadryl...best sleep ever!! But hard to get up in the morning (for me)

Me, too.  Always feel a bit groggy. But hey, desperate times/depserate measures. I really don't want any aids like lunesta or ambien. Heard too many stories of sleep driving, sleep cooking, etc.. That really freaks me out. But  have you heard, there's some sort of lonk between benedryl/paxil/dramamine etc. and dementia. Don't know all the deets, tho.  Just saw it on the news.

Did the Benadryl work?? It's my go-to as well for junky sleeptimes.

Hope this morning you are feeling more like yourself! Go away sickness, there is no place for you in the Rebellion!!!

Thank the good Lord, yes. I feel like a bright and shiney new girl!  Didn't even have bad dreams after watching War of the Worlds....(I usually avoid those types of movies at bedtime, I tend to take them with me to sleepyland.)

  10. Gaah.  I've been sleeping like complete and utter crap. Night sweats/chills (guess I can't make up my mind),  nausea, restless legs.  It's torture, I tell you. Makes it hard to think, or even function.  So the last 2 days I've been pretty un-motivated.  Hope this crap stops by Monday.....

SWEEET, I love upper ear hoops, I have one in my right.  I've got three holes in my lower right and two in my left that are usually filled with thin metal hoops and I like it fine, but I'd maybe want one more hoop up top.............

Did the helix hurt?? It's been a -long- time since I've had a piercing...

Yeah, it hurt somewhat. But it fades to real sore quickly. DON'T do it at the mall, or anywhere that doesn't use piercing needles. (JIK You didn't know, pulbic service announcement over. ;P )  That can cause serious damage to the cartilage.

I got the rook first, no big, the the top helix which was OMG painful, the the lower which was again, no big.  My piercer ( gosh I love saying that) is awesome.  She has no problem special ordering for me (finicky ears, can only wear titanium) and doesn't charge an arm and a leg.

Hey Rinna! Yeah, I can't imagine how it is for people who feel like that all the time. I'm sorry you and others have to deal with that.

That snl thing is funny! People do need to keep that in mind.

It can be hard, fo sho.  There are meds, sure, but they only do so much.  It's like having your own little black cloud hovering, hovering, always hovering.

pita and hummus is not the worst thing that could have happened :P

Hummus is a good source of protein, and the carbs are needed for energy, so I say win-win.

I wanted something carb-y to ease my anguish and self-pity (cos that's TOTALLY how that works, right??).

Damn straight that's how it works.

  14. So today I stopped to smell the roses. No really. They had a bunch of bushes for sale at the store, and man were they beautiful!  One was plain ol red, but the other one......it was a creamy white tipped in pink.  Moment of silent awe for the beauty of walmart's nature.

Eating my feelings is sort of my specialty, so I've been making it my focus to simply feel less:P

I have not found a way to do this "feel less" thing that you speak of. How does one feel less?  If anything, I feel all the things, and man, it's a drag.

  16. So I keeping thinking of Stuart Smalley from snl:

    I'm good enough

    I'm smart enough

and doggone it, people like me

People made fun of it, but really, we need to do this sometimes.

Tried to insert a stupid gif, but it keeps giving me errors.  I give up, for now.

I'm dealing with recovering from a dark place this challenge, so total solidarity there.

Hey, I live in said dark place! (Clinical depression). I actually named it.  It is a huge black dragon named Tyrath the destroyer who delights in, well, destroying. Sadly, he beats me down more than I beat him down. It is a daily struggle (hence the eating of feelings. And candy. Lots of candy.)  so we should all band together and kick some ass.....

Sounds like my hubby.  He always wears sleeves, even when it's hot out.  But, we met in Texas, so that's nothing new.  I was born in Dallas and raised in Mesquite.  Haven't lived there in 27 years.  Thank the good Lord.

Following along, although I dispute the manner in which you describe Texas ;)

Are you a Texan, too?  Hey, you can take the girl from Texas, but you can't take the Texas from the girl.  Don't get me wrong, it will always be home.  But as a woman approaching a certain "age", I can't take the heat anymore. Plus, the bugs.....water bugs my a$$.  They're just giant cockroaches. :disillusionment:

Mosquitos and humidity can both go rot in hell.

Sounds like Texas, where I grew up.  I don't know how we ever managed as kids to run and play and crap in all that heat.  Now I just wilt and whine and hide in the nice air-conditioned house type structure.....

But yes, I must concur, they can rot in hell, esp.mosquitoes.   I know every living thing has a place/purpose.  But come on, really......
