  1. Hooray for loud music! One of the best motivators around I think. Keep it up Danae! (:
  2. No worries! Whatever works best for you. (: We just moved at the beginning of May too - it was a big job but I'm super excited about having a new space and it's much nicer too. My goodness, your nieces sound like tough love - hopefully that was said with good intentions!
  3. Well, this week has been interesting. I'm doing well on my yoga (and feeling more stretchy), okay with cooking and walks and have realized my routine diet at the moment is abysmal. How did all that junk food get in there?! Adding a goal of treats a maximum of twice per week for the rest of June. I do find I need to eat more to help with feeding Hunnybun but it's time to make it healthier for both of us! (:
  4. Hrm.. having some trouble with getting images that aren't uploaded (linked images) to work. Not the entire point I know but it is nice to have some pictures here and there.
  5. Hi Plazmotic, I am very sorry for your loss. Please do take the time to care for yourself well especially emotionally. Your thread is pulling on this rabbit's heartstrings and she wishes all the best for you.
  6. Doing well so far! Roasted a cauliflower yesterday and made some decent coleslaw the day before. Tracking my food habits I can't believe how many treats I manage to sneak in. I see an upcoming goal... Even jotting them down is good though, kind of makes me think twice before I munch. Little four month old Hunnybun is going to be part of my inspiration this time, she is such a wonderful part of my life with Blue Rabbit. As Macho Man Randy Savage might have said at some point "Motivation ho!".
  7. Hi Shakeel! Yep I think you're totally right, she is a wonderful reason to be inspired! Sounds like a busy life for you but we'll definitely be here cheering you on. I'm going to hop on over to your thread now...
  8. Hi Shakeel, thank you very much! Hunnybun is four months old now and she's been such an eye opener for how to be happy and live in the moment. It's so much fun to watch her grow! We found out in the last year that Blue Rabbit has Celiac's and so are trying to focus on more gluten free eating. Right now my goals for this month are small and varied: - 10 minute walk, 3 times a week - 5 yoga poses, 3 times a week (sun salutation b is good) - No pop for the month - Cook at least 2 good meals per week - Eat 3 types of veggies per week - Overall get budget back on track (minimize random spending) - Get back with routine vitamins So far, so good! It's nice to hear you're positive on respawning, I always have mixed feelings about it (yay - good start, ugg - didn't stick with it last time). Do you have any thoughts on keeping up the oomph once the new start glow starts to wear off? (:
  9. Whew, made it back! Life took a turn and happily a baby bunny has joined the family. It's busy but I want to take some time to get this rabbit back on track too. I see I've landed in the middle of a challenge time so I'm going to hang out here for a few weeks and get back into the flow. I also need to think about some small start goals, we'll see what I come up with. Anyway, I'm happy everything is still here to pick up again. (:
  10. In the past year we've added a wonderful baby to our family, this has kept me busy and affected my health and body. We've also moved recently to a much nicer apartment which is all to say that it has been busy. I'd like to start small and get some good routines going again with the eventual goal of being a good role model for an overall healthy, happy life.
  11. Spent a few hours trying to kick a bad mood (due to a minor let down) today and have nearly done it! A good walk in the sunshine helped and I bought some sensible groceries for the week. I should cook something tonight - maybe a taco salad. Also, the next challenge is approaching so I will work on my structure for it. There, a sort-of busy night ahead now and no time for gloom.
  12. Sounds like some tough days for you lately, hang in there! It's good to see you posting through them. *** Quiet rustling sound of a small rabbit caring and watchful. ***
  13. Hooray, nice work Miw-Sher!! I definitely admire the small, continuous effort type achievements - they feel so worthwhile when they come together! (:
  14. Well, well - my Mom has been out visiting for the past week and crazyland ensued. It was lots of fun, we went for a drive to a tea farm (bought an awesome ceramic cup with city buildings etched on the bottom and a dark blue glaze on top) and visited a bunch. Haven't done well with my Goal 2 (L2LT) this week, so much sugar consumed... but I did get out walking a lot more than before and kept up my yoga (Goal 1: WXY). Pretty easy to be positive when you have days off, so I think Goal 3 (P2PP) will be shifted out to this week. Raining tonight and the air smells wonderful. Good time to start a sugar detox...
  15. Yah! Nice work on life and happy to hear you like salmon better now!! Doesn't having the appropriate growly face to stare it all down help make it feel a bit better though! I loved Aladdin, the songs were so catchy - I still sing bits from time to time. Hope Monday will be a better start to the week for you! (:
  16. CD sounds like an excellent animal! Not sure if you're into animation at all but I watched a cute movie called Mustang on Netflix that you might like if you are - has a bit of of Western history tied in. Missing Merle this week for sure... Hee hee, I just made a goal about turning my attitude around - I can be a bit of a grumbler too but really do enjoy my clients and team at work, they're clever and most are quite wonderful people. Keep the goodness coming and I bet those roses will be lovely when they bloom!! (:
  17. Alright - avoided a few minor sugary pitfalls this week: doughnut day at work and a large and tempting box of sweets a friend had. Keeping up with the food tracking and made about 80% on Goal 1, so trending in the right direction. *** Unlocked bonus level: Goal 1: WXY (Walking x Yoga) - extended a further two weeks! *** *** Unlocked bonus level: Goal 3: Power to the Positive People - for one week whenever a negative attitude is noted (and it will be diligently patrolled for), invert perspective to look at the situation in a positive light (not unrealistic but allowing myself the opportunity to see the good as well). *** Completely unrelated to anything but I went for a walk yestereve and under a clear sky full of stars managed to come across a seal flopped up on the boardwalk and snugged in for the evening. I swear she waved a flipper at me. How nice is that!?
  18. Hi Seabright - thanks and welcome!! I think I'll fit right in with the tumbleweeds and I'm working on building up them hoppin' muscles too! (:
  19. I find soda water is a bit more interesting for a distracting sipper (or for a spritzer add a splash of juice) if that would be an option for you? Hang in there! I struggle with the consistency side of things too but it sounds like you've made some great strides in the past are working on doing so again. Hooray for not giving up the good balance battle and exciting to hear you're in college!! (:
  20. Hello over here... perhaps I can provide a bit of company during your questing (rabbits are pretty small after all, we don't take up much space)! Lovely writing and wow on the planks, keep up the good work!! (:
  21. Thanks Miw_Sher! I tried a challenge back in January and it went well but then I fell off the horse, so to speak, as soon as the "pressure" was off. My plan is to do little week or two goals for April and then hopefully be all set to go full out for the May challenge. (:
