1. I've seen the commercials and I always cringe.
2. My son is ready to go for a spin. The kids love going for rides with me but sometimes I like to run off and find a trail by myself.
3. There are some free guitar apps for smart phones if you look for them.
4. Straaange days. Ok, so not like, super strange but I'm pretty sure there's a force telling me to get with the program. The other day I was harping about XM radio in the car about how half the stations stick so closely to a particular genre that it's not like you'll ever hear Beastie Boys followed up by N.I.N. or anything and I kid you not the very next thing that played was Beastie Boys followed by N.I.N.. Thanks powers that be, for making me look foolish. A few other things have happend but now that I'm sitting down to write this I find myself at a loss to remember them. I'll remember when I start cooking dinner. However! The most important thing happened that is kicking my butt in gear is this; I woke up from a nap today and I laid there thinking I really need to learn the real basics of whitewater kayaking. I've always wanted to learn but never had any opportunity other than various mild paddling trips. I laid there and swore I'd look up some schools (if there was such a thing) when I had a moment this evening. I sat down at my computer, got sucked into Facebook and the very first thing I see is a friend posting to another friend a Groupon discount for whitewater kayaking lessons. My eyes nearly fell out of my head! I looked it up and the school is just north of me. OMG! It's a SIGN I tell you! I just had to share! Peace out everyone!
5. Hey there. I don't know if this will help much but maybe it'll ease your mind for calories since we're the same height. I'm 5'2", 128 lbs down from 141 last year. I started this year at 135 and swore I wouldn't go back to a 1200 calorie diet. I'm so happy I did. I stick to 1500 net calories a day. That means if I work out, I eat more and if I don't, I eat 1500 calories max. I eat fruits, nuts, veggies, meat, and I cheat (within my calorie budget). Doing so has kept me going to the gym, enjoying my foods, and not worrying if it's exactly the right kind. If I feel good then I know I'm doing something right and if I feel bad then I know I'm missing something in my diet. Unfortunately, my scale doesn't budge much these days, and because my butt is always big, my pants probably aren't going to start falling off any time soon but I can see muscle definition in my stomach now if only a little bit. I know I'm getting stronger and more importantly, I feel really good rather than really freaked out because I ate a cadbury egg at breakfast or something. I logged it and moved on with the day.
6. OMG! My border collie (he's my avatar) tries to bury his bowl with imaginary dirt too! If anything gets left near the bowl he stuff it in with the food. Oh! So yeah, Beren is my doggy buddy. He's a two year old border collie and he's up for anything. [
7. I've got the "shelf" from my c-sections too. I'm beginning to doubt it will ever go away. Makes me sad because I can definitely see it under swimming suits and the like.
8. Things have been a little hectic here too. I made it to the gym Monday and it went really well but so far the rest of the week has been a wash. Hubby is getting ready to leave for several weeks and things have just gotten a little behind.
9. Technically we've got 8 people in our squad listed as active so we need to post a total with that number as well.
10. I decided my feet were too sore Saturday and Sunday for jumping so I took a break. I did do 200 for part of my warm up this morning but I don't know if I'll feel a sudden burst of motivation later today. Stranger things have happened. For now, I'm content that my rope jumping has actually improved a bit in just this week so I might keep it up for good.
11. Won't get to watch it. FAIL! /cry
12. My First world Problem: Season 2 of Game of Thrones comes on tonight and I don't have HBO so I won't get to watch it.
