  1. I'm not seeing anything wrong, but it's hard to judge deadlift form from the front. You'd need to post a side view if you want more feedback.
  2. I've found that "Kinda fold it once or twice, mutter an obscenity, and stuff it in the closet" has worked so far for me.
  3. Pedantry Man here to tell you that this has been (in most circles) renamed to the slightly-more-vague "Z Press" after Zydrunas Savickas was asked about it and said he'd never even done it until he heard everyone crediting its invention to him (and then he tried it and didn't like it).
  4. Are you a parent? If not, it looks like you've got the mindset down.
  5. I still watch it, though less religiously since our team buggered off to LA.
  6. If you want to gain weight you need to eat at a caloric surplus. Are you? If not, it would make sense that your increase in activity and your cleaner diet would lead to some fat loss.
  7. Well, the benefit would be to your other lifts. If you'd like to increase them to the detriment of your squat progress you could stop progressing the weight. My recommendation would be to try moving squats to the end of your workout (so you're not knackered for your other lifts) or maybe it's time to move to a different program. That said, if you haven't plateaued your squats on Stronglifts I would ride that train as far as it goes if I were in your shoes.
  8. I've never had a problem with it. Doesn't spoil any faster than meat from other vendors.
  9. What about canned veggies? I don't like them as much as fresh or frozen and they're not as good nutritionally, but better than no veggies at all and usually pretty cheap.
  10. Since switching to Paleo and basically never eating sweet stuff anymore I don't get sugar cravings. Probably not the answer you're looking for though.
  11. Do you have an Aldi or similar store nearby? My grocery bill plummeted when I started going there. Beyond that, buy stuff in bulk whenever possible and if your store runs sales, watch for when meat is on sale. For me at least, meat is the biggest expense.
  12. 2kg a month is possible, but it would be a significant enough amount of weight loss that you shouldn't be disappointed if you don't hit that goal. To lose one pound (~0.45kg) per week you'd need to be at about a 500 calorie deficit every day. That's not crazy, but it's noticeable (you'll be hungry a lot) and wouldn't allow for any deviations. Especially if you have a history of abandoning goals if you don't reach them, I'd say maybe shoot for 1kg per month at first and if you don't have any problem doing that you can increase it to 2. Better to stick with slower weight loss than to abandon a faster rate.
  13. I will gladly accept any and all snow that anyone wishes to send away from their location and into mine.
  14. I'm sure if you ask him really nicely he'll make you your own diaper armor.
  15. It's been a few minutes, and I'm still trying to decide how I feel about the phrase "food boner."
  16. Sounds like it's time to initiate your company's new Work From Toilet program.
  17. Yes. When someone is first starting out lifting, the gains come in droves almost completely regardless of what they're doing. Basically, going from doing nothing to doing something is a big change and your body responds accordingly. As to why your shoulders are hurting it's hard to say. You could post form check videos to have us see if there's anything glaringly obvious. It might also be--as you suspect--that it's too much weight too soon.
