  1. I suck at updating my progress in forums but... three months ago I stated that I wanted to lose 33 pounds and while I didn't reach my goal, I've lost so far 22 pounds. I still have work to do, my weight loss journey started because I wanted to feel better about myself at the ACL music fest (2nd weekend) and well, I DO feel better, I look better, people started noticing and it feels good when they tell me how good I look, some even said I look taller YAY ! So anyhooow... partial WOOOOT
  2. I agree with you. I think it's about mixing thing up a little and have fun !And you last point is what makes the difference. Like that quote that says something like "you can't outrun your fork" (Not sure if correct)
  3. No worries! The worst part is that some come from fitness related businesses, sadly some just want our money
  4. So that's what I should be doing I know, it's just that, well, the picture talks just about weights, and that's like reinforcing the image of women in a gym with the smallest weights doing nothing but lifting them
  5. Funny you mention "little pink dumbells" because that's actually what's in the picture, a muscular (in a sexy way) with a red (ok, it's not pink but same thing) little dumbell. And as you said, it's hard to tell from that little blurb, that's why I said above, it's maybe misleading
  6. That article is what made me think that's wrong or maybe 'misleading'
  7. What I think is wrong is the light weight/more reps combo
  8. I saw a facebook page called Bootcamp Mexico and thought "this sounds cool" so I started looking at the fb page and I saw a picture (can't post it right now) that said this (well, it's in Spanish but I'll translate for you) "If you want to burn fat, choose lighter weights and do more reps. If you want to bulk up, choose heavier weights" According to what I've read here so far, that wrong, or am I getting it wrong??
  9. Thanks Beki, I wish you the best so you can looove your 'after' pics!
  10. Hi you With all the support you can find here in NF I think you'll make it. I'm new here myself and want to support everyone! It's amazing the vibe that you can feel in here!
