  1. Once you start a routine at the gym that fits with your schedule and working out the muscles you want, then it'll be easier to keep up with. And eating healthy is key too. Try going to the gym 3 times a week. Doing legs one day, arms another day and maybe just cardio on the last day. Try out the different machines to see what works best for you and which ones you like better then stick with those. I know for me as my cardio I do the Arc Training which works out your legs very well then i'll do leg presses, calf raises, glutes machine and a couple other leg weight machines. And for my arms i'll do all the weight machines for arms. And I do ab workouts each time i'm at the gym like crunches and torso rotations. I've been doing this routine about 4 times a week for a couple months now and I already see a huge change in my body. You're a lot like me, I just want to get toned. Just be confident in yourself and motivate yourself to go to the gym in the morning. Once you get started on a routine that you like, it'll be easier to go each time and you'll slowly start loving your body more.
  2. You have to want to exercise and be fit. It's all about being positive and motivating yourself to get up and go exercise without him being there. Just wake up in the morning with a positive attitude and tell yourself "today i'm going to prove to myself and my fiance that i can exercise on my own and don't need to rely on him" then go to the gym. Once you go alone for the first time, it'll be easier to go alone the next time...the first day is the hardest. Just think about those goals you want to achieve and let that be your motivation to get up and go. You can do it! Make a playlist of your favorite songs to jam out to so you can listen to them when you are working out and that should help you too.
  3. I personally enjoy working out by myself. When i first decided to start going to the gym I felt like i needed to go with someone to workout with me to motivate me to go but now i honestly love going alone. It's my time to relieve stress and really get a good workout focusing only on myself. I put on my headphones and listen to music that gives me that energy to push even harder in the gym which really works.
