  1. Great job! I had no idea what double unders were, so I looked them up. WOW, they look crazy!! Keep it up!
  2. Week 3 Monday Endurance: off day Strength: off day Diet: salads for lunch and dinner Life: orchestra rehearsal, so off day Tuesday Endurance: off day Strength: unscheduled off day (shoulder injury prevented me from climbing ) Diet: didn't get to grab a substantial lunch, but had double serving of roasted veggies for dinner Life: off day Wednesday Endurance: ran 8:1 run:walk. It was nice to work out after not doing so for a while! Strength: off day Diet: salad with lunch, salmon tacos with veggies for dinner Life: off day So it looks like I need to work on practicing my oboe and strength training. I plan on doing both tomorrow!
  3. Week 2 summary: This week wasn't as strong as last week, but I'm ready to get back into it this week! Endurance: bumped up to 7:1 run walk. Only went on one run on Tuesday. Strength: went climbing on Wednesday. Went skiing over the weekend, so didn't have a lot of typical workouts. Diet: pretty good during the week (6/8 meals), not great over weekend (2/6 meals). Life: only one practice session, so I definitely need to work on that this week. However, I did make an oboe reed, which I haven't done in a while. Also, I'll try to update a little more frequently (2-3x a week). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. No problem- I love talking about climbing! I've only climbed indoors, and I tend to do more top rope climbing than bouldering. I'd like to try some outdoor climbing eventually! How long have you been climbing?
  5. Great week! Looking forward to seeing what you accomplish next week
  6. Rock climbing is a hobby for me- I've been going 1-2 times a week for about 5 months. I'm at a 5.9 level, but hope to start doing some 5.10a's soon (I don't know if the difficulty rating is the same for you as it is for the place I climb- I'd say I'm a low intermediate). Nice to meet you, and I'd love to chat about climbing! I apologize for the duplicate response- the browser I was in wouldn't let me quote or copy/paste.

  8. Starstuff, I'm currently working on Hindemith's sonate, as well as some audition pieces for the orchestra I'm in. What flute pieces are you playing?
  9. Week 1, Days 4-7 Endurance: Went on a run Friday; another 6 run, 1 walk. Strength: Strength training Thursday (worked on planks, held ~45 sec, 3 sets), rock climbing on Saturday, and group fitness strength class on Sunday Diet: ate veggies for lunch and dinner ~80% of the time; treated myself to curry on the weekend Life: practiced 3x (mostly b/c I had to record an audition, but I still got some great practice in) This week was pretty solid; I tended to focus more on strength than endurance, so I might try to balance it out next week (or not- I might be fine doing 2 runs a week. We'll see)
  10. Week 1 Day 2/3 Endurance goal: off days for running Strength goal: Went rock climbing on Tuesday Diet goal: 3/4 for veggies with lunch and dinner- my Wednesdays are hectic, so didn't grab veggies for lunch Life goal: practiced oboe on Tuesday- it's nice to start to get back into playing!
  11. I love zombies run as well! It's nice for spicing up a regular run Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Week 1, Day 1 Day 1 went pretty well. I managed to squeeze a run in between classes- 6 minutes running, 1 minute walking. It was a solid run, and I can feel my endurance slowly increasing. I definitely had my veggies for lunch (salad), and had a decent amount for dinner (rice bowl w/ veggie toppings). I didn't practice oboe because I had orchestra rehearsal this evening, but I intend to practice tomorrow. Sorry for the duplicate oboe post- I'm still trying to figure this out
  13. Thanks all! I've been playing oboe for 8 years, but haven't made practicing a habit in the past year.
  14. Thanks! I've been playing for 8 years, but I haven't made practicing a priority in the past year. Playing oboe is my stress and creative outlet, so I hope I can make a habit of playing.
