  1. My wif's sister has found herself in an Irish twins situation with nearly the same due date. I thought that was hilarious.
  2. Had my first Tae Kwan Do class! Woot! It was a small class and I was one of two white belts. Beyond that it was a mix of more senior students. I got a lot of hands on instruction and lived it - but I always thought there'd be a group of white belts running through basics. Is this common?
  3. I did it! I tackled my first weighted pull ups! 4x4 bodyweight + 10 lbs!
  4. I wear the skele-toes 2.0 for almost everything. I love them for weight lifting because they give me a nice bare foot stance. Neon yellow toes also make me look sexy!
  5. My goal is to get to about 12% BF while retaining muscle. My current stats: 30 yr male / 5'10" / 175 lbs / 17% BF. That's down from 222 lbs and 27% BF in the paty year. I had stalled for a while until I added interval sprints. I' ve been eating mostly primal, including dairy. I started lifting fairly recently and am still making strength gains. Prior to this I had trained body weight only. Right now: Deadlift 115 lbs 6 reps Bent over row 95 lbs 6 reps D.B Bench 40 lbs 8 reps D.B Squat 25 lbs pull ups and dips can be done at BW for 3 sets of 6.
  6. Hey, guys, I'm looking for a little input on my new plan MONDAY-Interval Sprints 6-8 intervals at high intensity. Usually followed by some easy biking or jogging for fun. TUESDAY - Supersets, 3 sets, 6-8 reps Pull Ups/ Dips D.B Shoulder Press / Rope Battle Deadlift / Step Pushup (plyomentric type pushup) Bentover Row / D.B. Incline Bench Press WEDNESDAY -Legs are done as a circuit D.B. Squats / Jumping Lunges / D.B. Box Stepups with leg raise Medecine Ball Twists Stability Ball Plank THURSDAY 3 sets, 6-8 reps Chin Ups Arnold Press D.B. Curls Cable Machine Pull over Bench Dips One Arm D.B. Row FRIDAY - Interval Sprints at high intensity I tired to get a healthy balance between pushing and pulling as well as lettting my legs recovery between sprint days. I do feel like I should add at least one other exercise to my leg circuit, though. Any input?
  7. Big win for me (feels like)! Today I was named member of the month at my company fitness center! I got a t-shirt!
  8. Thanks for the answer, it helps alot! Could not find anything that straight forward sea arching the web.
  9. Need a little input here, rebels. Up until now I've been doing a split routine working a different muscle group each day. I'd like to move to a full body workout now. My primary goal is fat loss. I'd like to sprint twi days a week, but I'm noy sure how (our of I even need to) fit in squats. I can only train M-F and want adequate recovery time for my legs. Suggestions?
  10. Apocalyptic Planet has my vote. It sounds fascinating!
  11. Finally naiiled 3 sets of 10 hammer grip chin ups in my body weight workout! Suck it gravity!!! Even after a long tme off from foot surgery, I've noticed great gains in strenght and overall health since going (mostly) primal. So, I gues two woots.
  12. My wife gave me a pair of Fila Skeletoes 2.0 for an anniversary gift. I have never known so much freedom and comfort! Residual pain from a long ago broken foot was non existent as I wore them around the house! Quick question though: how should they fit? Over the course of the afternoon I started to blister on one of my heels. Looking closer it looked like my big toes were too big for the toe pocket...they kind pig stretched over the rubbery framing. Any one know?
  13. I agree completely. I'd add swordfish and tuna to this list also. Mahi, swordfish and tuna are great because -besides being milder in flavor -they are also firmer in texture. They are thicker and offer more to chew on...a little closer to chicken. These fish also hold up well to grilling. Start with the skin side down and manage the heat carefully. Overcooked fish develops an unpleasant. "fishy " taste. Another great way to cook fish is to wrap in parchment paper with fresh herbs and summer vegetables and bake. Foodnetwork.com has lots of great, easy to follow recipes.
