  1. Yes! I'm excited for you, hiking in remote, cool places is one of life's awesome little things. Just getting out and going is going to be the biggest bennefit to you, but there are some things you can domat home as well. Bodyweight squats and calf raises to help prepare your quads and ankles for the stress on the trail and give them strength needed to prevent injury. Also stairs! If your concern d about climbng a 1000' trail start taking as many stair cases as you can. With a goal set for 9 months from now you've plenty of time to get there, but don't put it off!
  2. Depends on your goals! Shooting for larger muscles, getting enough protein & calories? Add weight. Need to be functionally stronger, already happy with size of you muscles (ha), building endurance, or shedding fat? Add reps to burn longer/ more.

  6. The things I try for you people.... Frozen with my banana protein smoothie. ...was actually really good. Still prevalent banana and vanilla flavor, which tells me that frozen like this the broccoli has a fairly neutral flavor base (like raw, baby spinach). Even the little seed things weren't bad between the teeth or anything.

Friday Lunch: Steamed with carrots and peas Friday Dinner: raw, on tacos (this was gross) Sunday Lunch: Steamed with water chestnuts and carrots Monday breakfast: Frozen with banana smoothie Tuesday dinner: Sausage skillet, with peppers, onions, and broccoli
