  1. I think I need a name change too, I'm at such a different place in life than I was when I joined the rebellion 2.5 years ago.
  2. @pureleeawesome I haven't purchased my bow yet, decided to spend that money on attending Camp Nerd Fitness instead I think I'll buy the bow by the end of the year though, even if it's not until December with my bonus. For now I'll rent the recurve at the local shop. Beautiful spreadsheet! I've moved from the 4 week challenge to doing things weekly now. I started a blog for it too: www.aweekatatime.com I have a few friends in town who are doing their own weekly spreadsheet tracking too!

  4. Colors are your friend! Colors and fonts So I tried pomodoro tracking this morning at work and what I found is, every time is was break time I just skipped it and went right to a new pomodoro! My coworker said he uses them to tell him to stand up, which maybe would be good. I think I'll try pomodoros again at home. But maybe pomodoros aren't for me. Also, I found out on Tuesday that my roof is leaking... somewhere. So I had a coworker with a lot more construction experience than me come over and give some advice. So my plan for raising the ceiling in the laundry room got moved up a little on the timeline! Weee. At least this is lighting a fire under my ass to actually do a project. I've always liked being a DIYer but always put off big projects. I think actually doing this will push me to keep going on other projects. The only problem now will be money! Of course. I'm working on developing systems and also realized I'm really good at creating written plans but not very good at sticking with them. So that's what I'm working on. (See my challenge link below, I am working on them in the last tab of the spreadsheet). Next plan is cash only in April. I need to stop spending so much money! Spending money before I have it. I have plenty of stuff for plenty of projects already. Stop collecting underpants and get going! ACTION produces RESULTS!
  5. I have a ball that's supposed to do that but even on the easiest setting, it's too hard for my pup. Though it's probably because what I'm putting in it isn't the right size so it doesn't come out easily. He'd probably like it if I made/got him one that actually worked

  7. Oh my gosh that is so cool!!! And your stitches are so consistent! When I knit I get tense and it gets too tight lol

  9. Wow travelling makes sticking to things difficult. Also the way I was tracking things wasn't working for me so I created a new spreadsheet (of course) to track things better on the next challenge. I'm using week 4 to track starting today. Oh wow, they super updated this site! That's pretty exciting
  10. I think you are on to something with the 2x workouts a week. I have been aiming for 3x strength training but it's hard to get to the gym. I might change it next challenge to a more generic, do something active 4x a week, so I'm less worried about checking off certain activities and focused more on being active. Good job on the Diet Quest!
  11. Week 3, day 1 Active: a+ Went to see The Revenant and then before I knew it, I was at the gym. I was thinking about my goal to do a chin up and that shit isn't going to achieve itself!
  12. WEEK 2 - DAY 5 (3/11/2016) FOOD: D Too much beer, had fast food (though was pleased when I realized that it's been a really long time since I had any fast food). HOME: B Had a party, got things cleaned up before people came. Blew the power in the bedroom, office, bathroom and front porch so now I have to figure out how to fix that, and mean while I'm using candles and battery powered tealights. Still worked with my house party so I'm not going to let that stop me from hosting! ACTIVE: rest day CREATIVE: A Played board games and Cards Against Humanity, cooked and made taco seasoning from scratch, also was my first sorta date with S. Not sure what will happen with that but at least made a new boardgaming friend! Hopefully he'll invite me to a movie or something again.

  14. WEEK 2 - DAY 4 (3/10/2016) FOOD: D Wasn't feeling up to doing any food stuffs. I have asparagus and chicken in the fridge... I'll cook on Saturday. HOME: C I'm hosting people tomorrow, so I'll go unload the dishwasher before I go to bed. Decided I'd rather make some art than clean the house. I'm more interested in cleaning on Saturdays. Growing up Saturdays were chore days, that seems to have stuck. And today has just been kind of meh. ACTIVE: C Took a rest day, wasn't feeling well this morning on top of news that my dad had a "small stroke" yesterday afternoon. This is the second health scare in the last year with him. I'm going to visit him on Sunday with my SIL. I did take the puppy to the park, so got some walking in, and then gave him a bath! Such a good boy <3 CREATIVE: A Had a good conversation with coworker that got me worked up that I need to do build a portfolio. Also build relationships but I really want to start with the portfolio and make sure that I have a language and I'm not speaking someone else's language. I decided to dabble in some digital painting and created the sign for my Adventure Wall! It was lots of fun to draw, way easier to "undo". I'm going to print this out tomorrow and stick in the frame and hang on the wall! I feel better ending my day with something creative. I'm looking forward to making more progress on house cleaning this weekend. Then I just have to make sure to put things back where they go. I'm enjoying this daily reporting on 4 categories that are important to me. It might help to have a mini goal every day for each category. And this is the list of things to do instead of spend money that I started yesterday and finished today
  15. WEEK 2 - DAY 3 (3/9) FOOD: B- Ate at home, didn't buy coffee... could have made better food choices. Definitely finding that I turn to food in times of stress and there is much stress at work right now. HOME: C Wasn't home that much, came home for puppy, dishwasher needs unloading... I'll do that tomorrow when I'm cleaning before my party on Friday ACTIVE:A Went to gym, leg day! CREATIVE: A Worked on a list of things to do instead of spend money

  17. That's what I was thinking I'd start doing, but I don't want to make phone noises while test driving the app lol! I kinda want to track all my time and see how I'm using it! I track time at work, with paper and pencil. Might help get more focused at home! I also cancelled my Netflix streaming so I only get the DVDs, that should help be more productive! And I just made a writing assignment for myself... so I need to get started on that!

  19. WEEK 2 - DAY 2 (3/8) FOOD: C Cooked dinner at home, didn't go out to eat for lunch even though I was tempted. Bought another latte but after looking at budget, I'll be stopping that habit! HOME: B Entered spending from Jan and Feb into budget spreadsheet and got a better idea of my finances and omg I spend way too much money on things that I don't need... or remember! No bueno. Gonna work on that. ACTIVE: A+ My gym buddy bailed, but I still went! (Told my buddy I would give him $20 if I didn't go, that always seems to push me to do it when I make that bet in the morning). And I did assisted chin ups with the climbing holds and am pumped to improve on that AND I logged my first workout in the FitNotes app which I really like, thanks to the people on this forum for suggestions of what app to use, it was very easy to use! CREATIVE: B Planning for a dinner party Friday... which will also by my first date with the guy I met 2ish weeks ago, I couldn't shift the time of my trainer on Wednesday and decided that keeping that session was more important than the potential movie. There's no rush for relationships, I gotta focus on me and I'm going to expand CREATIVE to include self care, which putting myself and my goals first totally counts for! I'm also thinking that going back to Slow Carb would be a good move for me. Gonna work on setting myself up for that and make the plunge starting Saturday. I like having cheat days, though I think cheat meals will be better than a whole day. I'm going to review that section of 4 Hour Body prior to Saturday. Really need to step up the veggie department... I'm so excited for the farmer's markets to open back up! Get my fresh produce on! I have a business trip next week too, so I'm going to try to stick with healthy eating during that which is always a challenge, but if I focus on veggies and protein I should be ok.
