  1. Two hours out on my bike with my kids. I couldn't pass up the gorgeous weather. So sure. I dont sugar coat shit either. Lol
  2. Can't get my shit together to lift this week. I don't know why but I'm exhausted and eating like crap. I'm logging my food, and I played frisbee with my son for an hour today, but I couldn't get to the bench. I don't know why. I was doing really well, about to start level 3. WTF... It's like a giant brick wall. I also haven't been drinking enough water and work has been BORING the last few days. I guess it just all adds up...It's also very discouraging that since level 1 there have been pull-ups on the list and I can't do them... I can barely do a walk-the-plank without falling on my face. Hating on myself today I guess...
  3. I don't know if that's the right name for it... When you do a sit up on a bench, and the back of the bench is adjusted down toward the floor, so the angle of the sit up is extended... I guess they're inverted sit ups, or hanging sit ups, or teeter sit ups. I work in a school... we consistently call sit ups curl-ups, so that was my instinctive word. LOL

Altered my last barbell level 2 workout because I'm struggling with pull-ups... 110Lb deadlift 5x5 60Lb push-press 5x5 50Lb machine leg lift, 5x10 alternating with 15Lb dumbbell chest fly, 5x10 12Lb inverted curl-ups 510 now I'm all tired and stuff.... but I have to shuttle a kid around for an hour, and bing another kid to scouts, and be an assistant scoutmaster at that thing so I can't go to bed yet.. ugh... long night...but I look hot in my uniform (not), so whatevs.
  5. OMG I haven't posted in a week!!!!! WTF. Here's a brief rundown of how the last week has gone: Tuesday I didn't walk because I was too busy packing for myself and my son's school trip. Weds said trip had us at the school by 7am, but I logged 17k steps that day. Weds and Friday are lift days for me... walking a LOT instead... Thursday 20k steps and friday another 16.6k steps. Friday we got home late and had the son's birthday dinner. I ate decent all week, and tried to avoid the wheat products but sometimes I just couldn't. On sandwich or pancake days I just had scrambled eggs or salad, and managed. I had a really really good lifting session on Monday. Like, really good. felt great after... I've been fairly successful avoiding wheat, but had some panko on the chicken my daughter baked last evening. I was down 5lb at the beginning of the week but now I have cramps from hell, so I know why the sudden loss from being up and dehydrated from a long trip away...back up to where I normally am now, and bloated like a dead fish... Ugh.. this time of the month just absolutely fu**ing sucks.... However, I've been doing really well diet wise this week. Aside from the breadcrumbs I've done well. Keeping my calories in check, keeping most of my sugar in check (aside from the leftover jellybeans.. pms aside) and trying to keep my water up. Yesterday I ran around like a chicken with my head cut off getting new tires for the car, grocery shopping and volunteering at the food bank stocking shelves. Didn't get to lift heavy things. Today I had an absolutely sh*tty day at work. Two staff out, and two kids emotionally volatile makes for a really really bad day. Tried to practice my kata today. Started the first one on the wrong foot, it felt weird. Second one was correct and couldn't remember more than half of the 3rd and 4th. pathetic. So that gave me some cardio. Tomorrow I will lift heavy things and finish level two of barbells. Finally... after missing 3 days of it in the last two weeks. BUT, I'm still at it, still motivated and the scale is moving ever so slightly in the right direction... There is some small success here somewhere.
  6. My husband wants fish and chips for dinner so we are going out. I'll have a beer but I think I'll try something from the gluten free menu. Bbc does good with that menu.
  7. Decent day yesterday. Tired though. Completed my bar workout though and slept well for a change. Staying under calories is tough but yesterday I went to a party and didn't feel like I NEEDED to eat everything in sight. Nsv for sure...
  8. I haven't cooked the chicken thighs that I bought yesterday so I had to scramble for lunch today. Coleslaw salad with corn and black bean relish (homemade), grape tomatoes, half an avocado, a fire roasted poblano pepper, crab legs for more protein, and this awesome avocado lime sriracha homemade dressing. nom...
  9. I started a cardio workout video this afternoon and got ten minutes in and had to quit. So tired!!!
  10. Had to pack for Scout camping on Friday and it took all my time before leaving so I couldn't get to level 2. I was so bummed. Had a roast beef sub that night for dinner and some cheese and crackers but didn't go over calories. Saturday we played ultimate frisbee for 90 minutes. Sunday we came home and I unpacked and went back out three times for family stuff so it was an off day. Today is a snow day so I could get day 1 of barbell level 2 finally started. So I did. THREE one minute planks. So that happened.

  12. Not having a lot of muscle soreness from workouts or between days. I did last Saturday/Sunday after Friday's workout, but other than that, I'm wondering if I'm not pushing hard enough. Either way, on to Barbell level 2 tomorrow.
