  1. AMRAP Deadlifts and Double-Unders. Cash out with max muscle-ups. Terrified it will contain wall balls.
  2. 4 rounds plus 15 box jumps. Split jerked from the start. And not a single pretty rep in the whole lot. 115# was just too heavy. Hoping 12.4 is "Run a 10k."
  3. Just did some judging for a guy who got nearly the same score as steelhead. Nice job man! I'm doing it tomorrow. With a 1RM of 135 on my clean and jerk, it should be pretty interesting. Happy with three rounds, ecstatic with 4. Good luck everyone doing it this weekend.
  4. Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 18 minutes of: 15 Box jumps (M 24" box / F 20" box) 12 Push press (M 115 lb / F 75 lb) 9 Toes-to-bar Fun. Though 18 minutes is a long flipping time.
  5. So for me that's 10 minutes to do 30 reps @ 75#. Easy peasy when the next rung in the ladder is above your one rep max.
  6. Any guesses for 12.2? I'll start: AMRAP Couplet. Double Unders and Deadlifts (heavyish, 185+).
  7. One of the simplest ways to get yourself to drive through your heels is to wiggle your toes while you work out the squat mechanics that feel most comfortable. You can't be on your toes if you're wiggling them.
  8. Second for Catalyst Athletics. You might also search youtube for Pendlay. He has a slightly different style in his progressions than Everett, some of which are very good for beginners.
  9. My plan (such as it is) is to go at a steady pace for the first five minutes. Set a reasonable target number for each minute and hold to it. Then go all out that last two minutes. I did 5 sets of 10 with 20 second rest in between this morning, and the 6" jump makes a considerable difference. Definitely recommend practicing until you get to a rhythm that feels right. If you really want to nerd out, try them with a metronome app on your phone. Force yourself into the rhythm.
  10. (Figure we might as well break these out individually. Strategize, post our results, encourage each other, etc.) WOD: Complete as many reps as possible in 7 minutes of: Burpees (At least it's not heavy?!?) HI THIS IS SPEZZY CREEPING IN ON YOUR POSTS SCOREBOARD Crooked (105) Spezzy (96) Maggie May (89) tsondermann (87) alligatorsbite (83) seripth (73) Robzilla1983 (59) nightlight (54)
  11. Open profile: http://games.crossfit.com/athlete/59499 Not in it to win it, obviously. But you can't beat the idea of doing the same exact workout with 50,000 other people and seeing how you stack up.
  12. You might try supplementing your diet with a decent quality fish oil. Works for some (but not all) as an anti-inflammatory. Probably some posts in the forum on what kind to try and how much to take daily.
