  1. Well, this challenge has to be put on hiatus for now, I've been having a panic attack a day since I had my first one last week. I'll update it when I'm on some medication. I haven't been able to sleep or do much of anything. CBD is helping, but only so much.
  2. Thank you! And I certainly hope so! Apparently I just need to cut about 500 calories a day, so that leaves me with about 1600 to work with, since I would have to eat 2100 to remain the same weight.
  3. Day 1: Stayed under 2,000 calories by replacing the fries I normally get with food with apples and a side salad. (Until we move out of our apartment that was basically ruined, we're stuck with getting fast food). Didn't quite make the 45 minute walk, but I took out 20 bags of trash for a total of 10 minutes of walking. I'll edit my post later "today" (joined very late on the 12th) and see if I can get in 30 more minutes. Tried to perform a full squat on my office chair for balance training. I made it about 30 seconds before my shins decided they couldn't handle any more. Will attempt this again later. I attended counseling Wednesday and made an appointment for next Thursday. Funsies: I have an iced tea maker and made a huge batch of Celestial Seasonings Tension Tamer tea. I developed panic disorder three days ago and I'm hoping this will calm the daily panic attacks until I can see my therapist again. I also have a goal of drinking more fluids. I had 3 32oz drinks (tea, water, diet soda) today.
  4. I also need to improve my balance, I've read walking on lines or on curbs helps a lot.
  5. I was in Navy basic training in 2013, but I was sent home a week before graduation because my shins cracked, and while I was recovering in the convalescent unit, was diagnosed with anxiety. I was sent home on a medical discharge. From what I do remember, I would highly suggest getting into basic during spring or fall. A three mile walk to your building on ice with 60 pounds of crap on your back is possibly the worst experience ever. If you have any physical or mental conditions, be upfront about them. Do not let the recruiter tell you to lie about that. You do not want to end up in huge trouble for withholding that information. I was very out of shape and just over the bmi when I joined, and managed to lose the bit of weight I needed to get in. I was given 6 months to train in time to ship in December. I did join intelligence, it requires the HIGHEST security clearing. All I can tell you, is having a family member from a foreign country makes that bit a huge pain in the ass. A few pro tips if you do join: If your uniform doesn't fit, or your boots are too tight/loose, don't be afraid to say so. I have permanent nerve damage in my toe from having ill-fitting boots. Get used to drinking way more water than the human body requires. I can't count how many shipmates peed themselves during training.. Again, try to join in any season but winter. The required swimming classes are about a mile to two miles away from most buildings. It's not fun to walk back in the cold with wet hair. I can write a book here, but it's probably best if you pm me if you want to know the nitty-gritty.
  6. I think I've spent more than a few hours trying to figure out how everything works around here before getting the courage to post! About Me/Storm My name is Storm, I'm a 24 year old male who makes YouTube videos and is overweight! I enjoy EDM, PC gaming, and roleplaying. I'm currently unemployed other than my channel, because I have pretty severe mental and physical issues at the moment that I'm working on correcting. I have PTSD and borderline personality disorder, along with sciatica and obesity. I plan to overcome these issues and get my life on a path to health and happiness. About my character: I am a Dragovian. Main Quest My main quest is to lose 60 pounds. After I've achieved that, my Master quest is to be an assassin. I've always wanted to learn parkour, I've been fascinated by it and love the idea of being able to climb and jump where I want. So, after losing weight, that is my end-all-be-all goal. Challenge Quests Eat less than 2K calories for four weeks Walk 45 minutes daily for a month Attend counseling on time weekly Lose 8 pounds in 4 weeks Grading Scale I'll be grading myself on if I accomplish each thing on time and correctly every day of the four-week challenge. Um..let me know if I did anything incorrectly and what I need to do next!
