  1. Thanks. It's a good mantra for sure.
  2. I love Love it! Simple yet empowering. I want to start incorpating Tai Chi in my morning, that Taiflow has a lot of videos! Thank you for sharing. I have struggled with weight my whole life... when I starting mindful eating and meditating, I'm finally at a weight I am proud of and happy for. Good luck in finding that too because everyone should be happy in their own skin.
  3. #1 Show up - I've been showing up! I realized that training with my Husband though, I worry about hurting him and it slows down my train of thought and training. I love being partners with him cause it's fun, but it's just different then training with someone else. Also he is vulnerable as well, if I accidentally hurt him, he will give me that "Ouch" look, as if he was training with someone else, he would suck it up... If any of you have watched the lego movie, I feel like Emmit when he becomes a master builder, with Ju jistu, after doing it for 1 1/2 years, the lingo, moves, and instructions are making sense!! I finaly reached my "AHA!!!" point. its awesome. #2 - breath daily- This is happening as well! found 2 things on youtube for at work.... Box Breathing and Calm breathing bubble #3 Consume - This has been a loevely mantra and helping alot. I have cut out Wheat for the month of Feb. with my hubby, this was hard because I started putting sugar to replace, so I had to catch myself over consuming. Other then that I found this wonderful Gatha: "This Food is a gift of the whole universe, the earth, the sky, and much hard work. May I live in a way that makes me worthy to receive it. May I take only foods that nourish me and prevent illness. I accept this food so that I may realize the path of understanding and love." This has made me look at the avacado I put on a salad and think about the people that harvest and truckers working late night to drive it to us and how grateful I live in a time I can have Avacados and lettuce anytime I want!! #Goal - track feelings - It's been working well! Working on "Working out my happiness muscles" Growing up in chaos and negativity my whole life, I need to work out happiness muscles just like we work on getting a better butt by doing squats, walking, etc., I need to work out being happy by being patient, telling my anger to step a aside to happiness can shine, etc. Since Feb 10th Blue - 4 days Pink - 4 days Orange - 13 days. I think its working!
  4. Keep on rocking it lady!! Question, how many dogs do you have? and are they all dachshunds?
  5. Just wanted to pop in and say HI! And Happy Belated Birthday! And love your new list system! (I'm sure it's not too new but it is new to my eyes )
  6. You have your own vineyard?! Ooo, if no pictures are their, details are required 😎 Long ago the stress and anxiety of a long list and my perfection at procrastination I realized I needed a system. I started a "Ulitimate Todo list" and put it on my tab on my laptop. I made time every monday morning to start "Week #" and write down all the things I wanted to get done and anytime something new came up I just added it to my bullet point list. When I'd get it done, I'd strike through them. The following week I would move over any undone tasks and repeat. I'm naturally a lazy person, so prioritizing, categorizing, and goals doesn't naturally come to me. I just added it under the week I was under in a bullet proof form. When I made that list, I was amazed on how much I got done and how much I didn't forget things that needed to get done. But goodluck on finding your groove
  7. What a beautiful lil bungalow! I bet yoga outside there will be great (once you get the space )
  8. Looks like you starting off smoothly. What are those rectangle crackers in your pictures?! They look tasty
  9. Thanks ya'all for the warm welcome! Intentions are working well. Last night I had a glass and a half of wine, poured the second and didn't even drink it.. . I consumed what i needed
  10. My stomata collects oxygen though Hi there! I am a Rebel coming to visit and maybe make Druids my home. I do not like making to many commitments but I like to think of them as intentions. Commitments play to my long shame game I've played, so I've taking the approach of keeping it simple. Intention 1 - Show up (to Ju Jitsu) My ego (also called insecurity) tries to keep me away. I don't need to fight with these feelings, I just need to listen, but still SHOW UP. If it is my husband that wants to do some training on the weekend or to class Intention 2 - Find my breath daily Mediation or Wim hof, or both. I can find this in the morning before work in bed, in an ice bath, or out in nature. It is my intention to find it daily. Intention 3 - Consume only what is needed Food is my addiction but also my source of energy and life. I must eat to live not live to eat. (This includes coffee) Goal/Challenge 1 - Track emotions on work calendar I've been noticed a trend with my emotions, it seems like every 3-4 days I wake up sad or angry. I just want to track this with: Blue circle - Sad/ Angry/ Fogged Pink circle - Neutral, no over emotions Orange - Over joyed, happy, darn good mood Well wish me luck!
  11. Dang. So still haven't been doing them every morning, but I have started a chart on my wall to track my days without sugar, wheat, corn, dairy, and to track days with ju jitsu, nature, Wim Hoff breathing. That has been going on for almost 2 weeks. Going good!
  12. Ok. Listened to a great podcast with Shelly Lefkoe about “limiting beliefs” and it’s been a really cool mindset! my intentions are working, I’m doing well besides I’m not doing them regularly. but 2 stories I have to tell. i was at a Ju Jitsu seminar and I was getting tired and annoyed. I remember my “intention” sentence and repeated several times as I was being choked, and I calmed down and finished strong. 2. Since I haven’t been saying them regularly, I haven’t been out in nature. Im finding saying them in the morning I naturally find myself seating outside when I come home for work, going to my garden, or saying “I’m gonna walk the dogs!” tomorrow is an early one for me and I’m going to do my intention sentences
  13. Wow! It’s amazing how “naive” “unaware” “ungrateful “ for the wide variety of food I can have in the states. But I now wonder, what cuisine am I missing out being here in the states? I live in an area where it’s nothing but chain restaurants and very few locally owned places. and if it is locally owned it’s frozen food deep fried or warmed up. Its hard to find real home cooked food .
  14. Nice reading about your journey. i like how you said “sat with your thoughts” We work so hard ignoring our thoughts or letting them dominate instead of sitting with them and realizing... there just thoughts
  15. Tell me about it! Environment is everything.
  16. Say what? you can’t get tortillas?
  17. Ok, would you rather eating pizza for the rest of your life or tacos?
  18. Oh man, talk about Murphy’s law! Im so ready to cut out wheat and sugar and have the “Umph” to do it... Tomorrow we’re tasting out baked goods at work . 1800 calories, that’s still not bad. I have to tell you a story. My hubby’s nick name my kids call him is “The midnight monster” cause at night he’ll eat everything in site. 2 years ago to get him started with a healthier lifestyle he decided added 2-3 servings of veggies a day instead of enforcing “no food at night” He still enjoyed his bowl of cereal or burrito at night but he felt better knowing he was making healthier choices in other aspects of life. Im so amazed at the amount of will power he has now compared to 2 years ago. He eats less at night and my kids feel safe leaving their pizza in the fridge! Keep it up man! Also , please share some photos of your cake decorating!!
  19. Nice challenges! what are you reading?? And are you giving yourself a time? Like “8 minutes a day” or something?
  20. Dalish! How’s it going my friend? How’ve you been feeling? Emotional? Other than that, what an interesting challenge! They say Steve Jobs always wore the same outfit because he said he used less brain power. Maybe this will be that easy brain power to strengthen your will power.
  21. Hey Stillstar. sorry to hear about your mum. Glad and to hear about your focus! baking small amounts, I have always cut recipes in half. For instance we don’t always get through a cake so I will cut the recipe in half. Sometimes it comes out great, sometimes not the best, but it isn't terrible. I’m excited to read about your journey this month
  22. What a great idea to do colors for food!
