  1. Report on yesterday yesterday I ended up making my own breakfast in the morning, Sourdough toast with marmalade, a container of pineapple yogurt and a 8 oz glass of orange juice. Lunch I ordered a single chicken taco with lettuce, apple, and pomegranate seeds, did have a beer though. Dinner family went out to a BBQ restaurant. In stead of my usualy large sandwich side of bake beans and hush puppies, I went for a small sandwich, brunswick stew and coleslaw. Instead of sweet tea I had unsweetened with lemon instead of sugar or splenda. Added a 5 minute walk by taking my wife to a large antique mall to do some window shopping. Meditation was a fail in it's own way because I ended up falling asleep. Today's to do list is simple. Take dogs for a walk, do laundry, don't fall asleep while trying to meditate. How: work got busy yesterday and i failed to finish posting how i planned to do this. I didn't get a chance to talk about the how yesterday. Diet will be more or less simple (except for the willpower aspect, probably my lowest life stat). If I cook at home or pack a meal that's basically a 30% reduction in fast food. From there if I pack a lunch, or just bring in over all healthier foods to cook at work that's two meals and about a 60% reduction in fast food. So if I eat a burger at work, I'm going to make a side salad (light on the dressing) instead of fries. In stead of stopping by a fast food restaurant for a spicy chicken biscuit with a side of hash brown (about 800-1000 calories if there is a soda involved) I'll make my on breakfast at home or at work. I've got it measured now where two eggs over easy, a slice of toast, two slices of bacon and a cup of black coffee is about 500 calories. As for the soda, I'm going to try and limit myself to 1 12oz cup of soda heavy on the ice per day. After that it's just big cups of water. Finally as I go out I'm going to start using some calorie counter soft ware on my phone to help me make over all healthier decision if I'm eating out. As for walking I'm just planning on coming up with an excuse to get out more and do more. From taking dogs for a walk, getting myself and the wife off of the mmo and into a store or the mall, or just bowling a few extra games at work before going home. As for day planning I'm going to start again with google calendar being my primary planning and tracking tool. Also as of right now I'm planing on making morning check ins for myself on here of what I accomplished and what I could have done better with on here.
  2. Hello Folks, So I am putting together some ideas for my first challenge which starts next month. In the past when I've tried to get fit and loose weight I always find that old habits die hard. I'm hoping that by checking and updating my status I'll stay encouraged and accountable. I'm going to work from the base template for suggestions before I get too out there and crazy. What: Diet Reduce fast food by 50% One soda for one water Fitness Walk every day (5 min, or bowl at least one game a day) Level up your life 5 Minutes of meditation Use day planner every day. Why: So my choices with diet stem from the fact that the business I own as a snack counter that is basically a fast food area. So I will be having to be more deliberate with my meal planning and make sure that I create the opportunity at work for me to make healthier choices or to pack lunches or dinners to bring with me. Same basically goes for the sodas as well. Soda fountain on hand at all times, switching to water will reduce a TON of calories, and work towards a lower sugar and caffeine life.
