    ranger
  1. I stumbled through the first part of week 3, but found my groove again. For the record - my dog who as given a few weeks to live is doing marvelously well. He isn't quick and he gets tired easily, and one day he won't be there, but he is happy. We made it to his favorite place in the world near the George Washington National Forest. I have been able to keep up with most of my challenges and would give myself half points for this set so far. Looking into the coming week and getting ready to channel my inner story teller (or at least find my inner story teller) for the next 4 week set for a little more fun.
  2. Glad to see another Abel Runner in the Ranger guild, just started following but plan on keeping up as I love the narrative and theme. You've also inspired me to post Moore on my mini challenge and out more narrative into it.
  3. Deep into week two and after falling on my face a couple of times, have managed to keep up with my quests. Completed an Epic Quest I had been planning since reading Level up your Life. Thanks for the encouragement from the crowd on my first four week challenge!
  4. For OCR - run at least 3 days per week and then lots of body weight exercises focusing on burpies and pull ups right now. I also add in farmer carries etc.. Occasionally I run to a play ground and climb ropes and do the monkey bars. Will see how it goes!
  5. OCR = Obstacle Course Race!
  6. My first four week challenge and I know late, started a story but going to cut to the challenge. My theme is mindfulness in action as we found out my dog has liver cancer and while okay now it is all about making what ever time he has great. At the same time I learned one of my friends has lymphoma. So mortality check complete, time to live life: Week 1 Daily walks with Jasper Morning Box Breathing and functional Fitness Weekend camping Week 2 Mindfullness in action - when at home be at home when at work be at work focus on realistic and achievable tasks Morning Box Breathing and Functional Fitness OCR training (Spartan Sprint in Fall) Week 3 Take Jasper to the farm - it is where he is happiest Morning Box Breathing and Trail Runs Work on Cub Scout Kick-Off Week 4 Keep up the daily walks with Jasper if he is feeling okay Morning Box Breathing Finisn up Sepsis Lecture for Grand Rounds No colorful narrative and really need a better name, but for now will steal a name from my favorite app zombies run while I re-spawn.
