  6. Mindfulness and being present in front of a fire with great company? Yes please! This is my first challenge with the Druids, and I'm excited to see where this journey will end, and which version of me will appear on the other side. I'm also looking forward to seeing everyone else's journey, and learning from each other.
  7. Hey all, I've been lurking around NF, but haven't spent a lot of time with the forums. I'm looking to kick up my daily quests with some accountability. For this challenge, I will be setting a series of dailies that I will need to complete, well, daily. I track my life in my blog, and my habits in HabitBull. I think this will add another layer of accountability because I know you're all watching! Tracking my food daily, without exception - If I bite it, I write it (tracked in blog) Stepping up my physical presence by committing to activity 6x per week (tracked in HabitBull): 3x Strength Training (30-60 minutes) - Tracked in Leiah Sky's Epic Spreadsheet of Fitness (to measure +STR) 3x Yoga Session (30 minutes) - Tracked in Leiah Sky's Epic Spreadsheet of Fitness (to measure +DEX) Rise and Conquer - I will be waking up 5 minutes earlier, every day, for the next 12 days, and then will continue to wake up at 5:00 AM every morning so that I can conquer my quests early, while I still have the energy, because I am so not the type of gal with energy after 6:00 PM (tracked in HabitBull). I will check in at minimum on a weekly basis to talk about my challenge, what I have accomplished, and what barriers I discover. Happy questing! AGD2 (Aka Leiah Sky)

    I'm really excited to be account-a-buddies! I've been working on NF with my spouse, although we follow different paths (Druid vs. Ranger), and are invested at different levels, so I've been looking for someone to check-in with on the regular, and it'll be something new for me.

     

    How did you want to check-in and support? I've recently deleted my FB in order to spend more quality time doing quality things, but I have Twitter and also recently started a blog (@leiahsky and http://beingmyalterego.blogspot.ca/).

      Hi! I wasn't sure how to contact you directly. Thanks for taking the initiative. I troll Facebook mostly...my twitter leaves something to be desired. Hmm...email? I don't really use the phone a whole lot. My email is dreilley7@gmail.com [Darlene Reilley IRL]. I think I'm a Druid who wants to be a Ranger Assassin when she grows up. If she grows up. I love meditating and hiking and yoga. Very excited for the challenges, but I also need an accountability buddy. Nice to meet you!

When I first started, I would get some stiffness/soreness, so to ease myself in, I used to sit in a puang chair, which had a slight lean back that supports the head and neck, but not enough to encourage sleep. I then moved to a chair, and later self-supporting my back and neck. At the end of the day, do what you need to do in order to support your body so that you can focus on the present. Good luck!
  10. I'm down! My current path is primarily Druid, I love yoga, meditation, some strength training, and enjoying going on adventure hikes/walks every weekend with my spouse. We're currently on an adventure quest to discover all the city parks in our area. If by humour, you mean sarcastic, dry, and sometimes punny whit, I'm your gal! Let me know if you're down :).
