  1. Getting more in is great. I love working out. The hard part is eating so few calories a day. I am lifting back and abs tonight if you're bored do some pull ups and planks.
  2. Hey man, Welcome to the Rebellion. I'm 34 myself and about to be a father of 3. I was 50lbs heavier when my first daughter was born 3 years ago. If you want any help or advice send me a message. I lost most of my weight without exercise and you can too. Good luck on your endeavor. Kemohabi
  3. Week 3 on the books. Had 7 workouts this week for a total of 6 hrs and 50 minutes. Over 5 days. Glad the weather is much Warmer been spending time outside with my daughter going to the zoo and war museum (she loves to play on the tanks). Also warmer weather means grilling season for me. Grilled my chicken breasts for next week's lunches. Oh well sticking to it and working hard on the nutrition side.
  4. So you know if you want your abs to pop you need like 10% or less body fat. At 13% you can see your 6pack but it really pop below 10%.
  5. Been busy haven't been able to update. Week 2 and 3 have gone great. Trying to get my protein from whole foods more which gets hard when I'm hitting 210gr a day. I cook my lentils by boiling them then i add them to sauteed onions and garlic. And season to taste with herbs.
  6. Yeah That's why I do it like that. I also love to make lentils to go with my lunch when I workout in the pm. Week1 down. Been hitting my numbers religiously (like watching dbz). Lifted 5 days and 2 of those days did my cardio. Today started week 2 with shoulders and triceps. Spent all weekend with my little girl...best part of the week. Week 2 looking to be solid just have to avoid distractions.
  7. I do my proteins. Generally I buy 4 large chicken breasts and cook them up Sunday night for the week of lunches. Then just bring fruit and veggies to go with the meat.
  8. Day 1. Back and abs 1hr 15 minutes weight training. Followed by a cardio strength complex. Felt like I was fighting Goku but beating Krillin.
  9. I'm 34 yrs old on good shape but have a good amount of work to do. This brings me to my challenge: Diet: Hit my macros, mainly protein, everyday. Keep carbs below 150gms a day except for cheat day. Prep my lunches completely weekly. Fitness: Lift weights 5 days a week. Do cardio complexes twice a week. Return to jujutsu once a week. Life: Spend more time playing with my daughter. This May seem like a lot, but I do most of this stuff already in some capacity. This should help me stay focused and quest driven.
  10. Does any use complexes for their Cardio? I just started doing them and not sure how many sets I should be doing in a given workout. I currently do 3 sets of 8 reps per exercise. My sets are deadlifts, bent over rows, power cleans, front squats, push press, and back squats. Any tips would be nice too.
  11. Single arm bent over rows work great. I shoot a 70lb draw and since starting to lift the draw cycle is much easier. T-bar rows are also good. Pull up and other back exercises are key. You should draw a bow with your back by squeezing you shoulder blades together as you pull the string back. Good luck with shooting.
  12. Yo. I'm Not big on forums much these days since I played EQ a few years ago. I was way over weight after my daughter was born, but I was able to drop 45lbs with my wife. This last summer I started lifting weights to get into shape. I'm looking better than ever but still have weight to lose. I currently lift 5 days a week using a 4 day rotating split. But have issues with my diet staying clean. I would like to lose another 10 to 15lbs to lose. In the past I have been doing jujutsu for about 8 years. Not sure what else to write.
