  1. Hi guys! Sorry for not being active online, but life happened :/ Have you ever experienced that as soon as you decide to turn over a new leaf, life just challenge you even more? You sprain your ankle, you get sick or your boss just change your working hours? That happens to me every time, and this week was no exception. The first half of the week was a nightmare and my water+food plans didn't go as well as I planned, but I still drank more water than usual and had plenty of fruits. I had 2 strength training sessions too and on Friday a bodypump, which was awesome! It was a bit challenging and I was so tired by the end but I really enjoyed it. On Saturday I had to work so I couldn't go for a hike but I walked home from work, that was 8 km, so I ticked the walking/hiking on my list as completed. My weakest point this week definitely the meal prep part so I'm going to figure out the menu for next week, no slacking!
  2. Thank you Dawnwings! The pictures are from the Adelaide Hills, have you ever been here? Hi Koaladle! Thanks for asking, it is going well, not as active as I planned, but ok I had to work yesterday so couldn't go for a hiking, but I came home on foot (8km) woohoo I'm so sore because of Friday's bodypump but I'd like to go to the gym later (it's 9 am here now).
  3. These are from last week's hiking, it was soo much fun
  4. Thank you! Your words mean so much because I'm always in doubt with myself, and questioning myself if I can do it The hiking part, we'll see how it goes, it's Murphy's law but it looks like I have to work on the weekends :/ meh
  5. Hi and welcome! I think none of your goals are silly or not allowed, do what you have to do to get a healthy life and body, and your motivation is awesome! That staircase looks amazing, one of my goal is to go regular hiking, so you guys will be in my thoughts when I'm in the wild

    I Can Do This

Haha this is sooo me, I get on the scale every single day and when I see a tiny weight loss I'm done. Maybe this should be another quest for me to hide the scale for a month... it sounds ridiculous but it's my morning routine to hop on that evil thing every time
  9. Oooh I like your motivations, especially this day 1 mindset thing, I have to keep this in mind, I'm sure it would work to me too! And I'm a bit envy that your family is motivating, mine is so negative and just meh... It's better not to let them know what I'm up to
  10. Hi Gaelle! I used to make 2 meals at a time, lunch and dinner for the next day I work on every second day and on my off days I have heaps of time to cook, that's another reason why I don't make all the meals for next week on Sundays. This worked to me before as long as I have ingredients at home (and a list of foods that I'd like to make that week) and I don't mind cooking every day, I usually go with quick recipes, 1 hour tops Whooo the more I talk about this the more excited I get Hi mmead0105! Thank you! I'll have just enough time to close the office, get changed and set up my weights. Whoo I can't wait to start Cheers, woohoo
  11. Hello everyone! I'm new to the forum and to the rebellion and basicly to the whole nerdfitness thing, but I'm super excited to start my challange! I'm 32 and I'm still chubby. I say still, because I had a lifestyle change in last July and I've lost 18 kg so far, but I lost motivation in December and couldn't find it since. Last July I started a new job, joined an 8 week challenge at my local gym, started a C25K plan and started to eat by the clean eating rules. December was a crazy month for me and I totally got off track with my healthyish lifestyle and eventually I stoped running and going to the gym, and slowly fast food and processed food returned to my life Regardless of all the hard work to ruin my results, I was still able to maintain my weight (please don't rain on my parade that I lost all my muscles and I got fat back, I know this deep inside, I just deny it ) Now I really really want to get back in the swing of things and I think the 4 week challenge is a great way to do it! I have around 10 kilos to lose (and hopefully never find them again) so there's plenty of work to do. My quests for the next 4 weeks: Drink more water! It's crazy and scarry at the same time, but I can go all day without drinking water. 2 lattes and a tea, that's all my fluid consumption I'd like to slowly add more and more water every day, so by the end of the challenge I will be able to drink 2 liters without running to the toilet in every five minutes. Hopefully this will help to get rid of my headaches as well. Eat more fruit! There's no fruit in my life nowdays How? Why? When did that happen? If I take chopped fruit with me to work, it will also replace my sugary snacks, two birds with one stone! Meal prep This is a bit different for me, because I don't like prepared food. I don't think I could eat anything on a Wednesday that was made on a Sunday . Anyway, my meal prep is just on paper, to figure out what I want to eat for lunch and dinner every day, and do the shopping according to my menu. I usually have time in the evening or morning (depending on my roster) for cooking. This would also help to avoid buying whole aisles at the supermarket Be more active on the weekends We are both introverts with my husband and we have a tendency to stay in the house all weekend and doing nothing. Waste of time and our life, so we made a deal to go hiking or walking every weekend. By walking I mean at least 5 km. There are plenty of national parks around the city with great hiking trails and the weather is just perfect to be outside. (And for the record, we went for a 9 km loop today, woohoo) Friday means bodypump! I work in the same building where my gym is and on Fridays I work until 6. The bodypump starts at 6:30, I have no more excuse, I have to attend every Friday class I'm planning to attend more but for now 2 days of weight/strength training and one bodypump will be enough. I think this will do as a start, and we'll see how I go. I have great expectations to get back into the old routine, wish me luck
