  1. Hey there everyone! I've just started NROL4W and have finished the first two workouts. I've posted my logs and I'd love to get some feedback from anyone about, well, anything really. Obviously I don't know what I don't know so I thought I'd just throw myself open to some feedback! Workout A 1/8 Workout B 1/8 I have a protein shake after every workout, and I'm aiming to eat 40/30/30 Thanks in advance
  2. Thanks! I was a bit sore in my ankles that night, but they get sore when I stand for too long so I think it was just the extra weight. Also, shin splints. Both were gone when I woke up though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Only on my second ever weights workout, but today some guy was bench pressing (benching? What's the lingo here?) and after said to his spotter "The problem with this exercise is that you don't know what muscles it works" Um? Also the guy on the lat pull down who loaded it up, pulled himself to standing (on the bench so the bar was completely retracted) and hip thrusted mid air for about ten seconds. I have no idea what he was doing. PS first deadlifts today! Yay me! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Cheers! I was super confused. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. N00b here: do we post workout logs in our blog or in the forums?
  6. My first six week challenge! Yeah! GO FOR IT GUYS!

  8. I think it would possibly give him more attention... It would be better to do something to help change the culture. He only did this because he knew, or thought he knew, that no one would stop him. What the hell was everyone else in the room doing? Have the organizers committed to implementing changes to how these things are run, and what is acceptable behaviour? How is the community responding to this? Has anyone organized a program to start shifting the culture? I believe this sort of work would be better than calling him out. An effective response would need to come from his peer group, not some random on the internet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Nooooooo! I find both Magners and Strongbow horribly sweet, even Strongbow Dry. They're not on the same planet as that dreadful Rekorderlig stuff though... Tastes like cordial to me. Over here cider seems to be taking over from the "alcopops" that all the teenagers drink, so they're all super sugary. I like Dirty Granny, Monteiths, Pipsqueak or Coldstream. Wish they were on tap, although then I'd drink a lot more and I'm trying to cut down! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I can't drink whisky/scotch/bourbon anymore because they were my first teenage alcohols and now they've been ruined from too many bad experiences... I love love love gin. I'll take Hendricks for preference but Bombay Sapphire or Bulldog are fine. On the rocks, or with mineral/soda water and cucumber, rose petals, orange slices or frozen raspberries. Or a mix of the above. I also love really dry and crisp cider, dark chocolatey beer (porter) or a lovely mellow rich red wine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. (( That is disgusting. He should be banned from competitions for a year.
  12. Being able to do grown up pushups, quite a few, without stopping Being able to pull myself up by my arms Getting through an entire dance practice without losing my breath and without being sore the next day Bikini!!!
  13. Hey I have added you because I am fascinated with the aerial work... I have wanted to do some trapeze training since I moved to my new city about two years ago but have always considered myself too out of shape. Now it's my reward for finishing my first weights program. Plus you seem really awesome! I hope you don't mind!

  14. I agree with everything above and maybe sit down and brainstorm a bunch of things you could do that have less work on your shoulder. Take them to your sports therapist or doctor and get an OK about what you are fine to do. Hopefully there is some space to try new things. I totally get you though, I have an incredibly painful heel that I can't dance or run on at the moment, so even though I've picked up swimming I am sort of miserable hopefully this too will pass.
