You can always workout at home and follow a program. Like a cycling program or a treadmill program.

Barefoot!
freemanrun247 replied to Bob the Bardbarian's topic in Running, Swimming, Biking, Walking, Hiking
That's exactly what I was thinking. I'm just afraid of stepping on something sharp since I always run around my neighborhood. I live in the city and I can run at a park but I just don't trust the running path. But I can see that building callous would help with everything. I'll possibly try it though eventually.- 12 replies

Awesome thanks so much for sharing. I'll have to take some of that and adopt my own training schedule to work with my schedule

You can always go back to the basics. Do burnout sets of pushups, squats, and pull-ups if you find an area that allows it. I also do all my core exercises without equipment even at the gym so that's also an option.

A half is definitely doable. I finished my first half last year and i'm currently training for a full.

No Skateboarding Thread?!?!
freemanrun247 replied to Bob the Bardbarian's topic in Running, Swimming, Biking, Walking, Hiking
I never got into skateboarding but i've always wanted to try. I'm 28 now so I feel I might be a bit too late on picking up a skateboard though!- 1 reply

Barefoot!
freemanrun247 replied to Bob the Bardbarian's topic in Running, Swimming, Biking, Walking, Hiking
This sounds interesting. I've never ran barefoot but I might start logging a few sessions in to see how I feel. Just a question, is there any benefits to running barefooted? I know running shoes are there to aid support and a bit of cushion but what's the significance of running barefooted?- 12 replies

Awesome! What is your current training routine if you don't mind me asking? For the half marathon I just did normal jogging sessions without any real training routine and I was exhausted after. I can't imagine running a full but i'm doing it regardless lol

Hello, New to the forum so I wanted to stop by and introduce myself. I'm an avid runner and started my first casual 5k about 4 years ago. Loved it ever since and started moving from 5k's to 10k's and eventually half marathons. My new goal is a full marathon with a good stable pace throughout the entire run. If anyone has ran a full marathon then i'm more than open to listen to tips for my first full! Hope to make new friends here, nice to meet you all.
