  2. Welcome to the rebellion, tungstenmouse! I, like you, have allowed my illnesses to define me for too long. I suffer from bipolar disorder and extreme anxiety, and both of those issues have led to crippling self-esteem and a lack of confidence in my overall abilities. Luckily, I've found that working out (and the endorphins that are released from my efforts) helps to alleviate a lot of the effects of my illnesses... and that alone is motivation to keep going. I, too, am starting the paleo diet and dabbling in light workouts until I fell comfortable enough to progress into more serious programs.
  3. Welcome to the rebellion! Let me just say that being a librarian who bellydances is like, the pinnacle of awesome. From your intro, it seems like you are well on your way to fitness greatness. Luckily, the rest of us here at NF will be there to cheer you on.
  4. Welcome to the rebellion! I'm taking the plunge into primal dieting, too, so you are definitely not alone on your journey. I'm fairly new to the NF Community but, from what I can tell, everyone here seems friendly and supportive. Hopefully you will stick to the forums and enlist a great support group for your adventures.
  5. Greetings, fellow rebels! My name is Lauren, but most people call me McDee. I stumbled upon Nerd Fitness through facebook; my friend, Jackie, placed 2nd in the Rebel Strength Guide 6-Week Success Stories article from July of last year (link) and posted it to her page. I followed the link and became hooked on NF. So, my handle on this forum is discomFITure, which I suppose is pretty cliche... but I think it sums up the reason why I'm here.
