  1. Thanks everyone. Severine I agree, finishing the challenge is really the ultimate goal. Worst case scenario really, I learn more about myself. Also, yes, tea would be acceptable. I should say no calories after 9pm lol. Butternut, Join the night train! lol Yesterday was a really good day and I stuck to my mini goal. I also got a lot of cleaning done and started a new cleaning regimen that should allow me to succeed at that goal. Also, with Memorial day weekend, I have friends coming over so, serious motivation there lol. I've even been decorating the house and making improvements, which just makes me want to clean and enjoy my home even more. I'm finally figuring out this part of my challenge I think. Yesterday I had a friend say that he had something he needed to tell my fiance and I in confidence (not at work) and wanted to go out to lunch. So, although I brought my lunch and planned to do that, life got in the way. It tends to do that. Oh well we do what we can. Calories were terrible yesterday but the point is simply to track them.   3. I have decided to add a mini challenge. Including yesterday, which I was successful at this, I have 14 days/ Two weeks for this mini challenge. Nothing but water past 9pm Late night snacking and drinking cause a lot of empty calories, time to cut this out. 14=A 13=B 12=C 11=D 10 or less=F Mini challenge Prizes TBD. I need something to help keep me motivated for this but don't know what yet

  5. Well this weekend has managed to completely suck yet again. I got a bit of cleaning done, and a blog post, but mostly I've just been doubting everything I've ever known and not counting any of my calories. I'm really rethinking my goals, and thinking about what goals I want to do next challenge instead of focusing on this challenge. The things that matter to me, all of the things I want to work on seem to change daily, and I don't have time for all of them. How can you concentrate on one type of thing, when there are hundreds of other really cool things to look at too.

  9. I understand that completely I do the same thing. I love picking up stuff and refinishing them though, makes for a great project! Why is sewing stalled? I bet you'll look great at that wedding

  11. I wish I had the resolve to get up earlier as well, but I already have to be at work by 7am and we are up at 6 am which is already difficult. I've played with the idea of waking up at 5:30am and doing a meditation/workout or something, and I might some day for a challenge, but it's rough. I commend your resolve! I bet it gives you a great way to clear your mind before walking into the tumult of craziness at work.
  12. Morning all, had a nice hot shower this morning which is nice, no flooding in the garage to deal with either. Work is hell but, not much I can do about that. Still pretty on track on most stuff at least not to fail lol. That is the important part. I refuse to give money to PETA. Still just over two weeks left in the challenge, I think I can pick some of this up and finish with at least passing scores. The two things I need to focus on are cleaning, and writing out my to-do's. I've finished the projects I aimed to do, which is the easy part honestly. Crafting is my time sink. The thing you can do all the time if you could and time just passes by. I find it hard to not craft, and spend time cleaning and doing other things. On another note, I went over my to do list for the wedding last night. It's pretty scary. Next challenge is probably going to be ALL wedding prep. The stats!   14. Woot Woot! Rock on, sounds like you're doing great! Gardening to me is one of the most enjoyable spring/summer/fall pleasures. It can be so relaxing and productive at the same time, I'm glad you were able to do that. Looking good!
  15. Yikes, sounds like we are both having a hard time. Sometimes it's difficult to find that silver lining, but if we are going to have the home, life, body etc. that we want we gotta be strong. As the nerd fitness saying goes, right now, we're just playing life on hard mode
  16. Welp, they are installing the new WH between 1 and 3 today, so that is good, atleast no more cold showers. I have the ability to work from home which is really nice for situations like this too. I didn't bring my lunch today, but I also didn't stress eat like a mad woman so I guess they balance out.   17. So for those following along, apparently this is actually a challenge of how well can Meagan keep her shit together while life just throws everything at her. Here has been my last few weeks. About 3 weeks ago, the fiance and I finally found our honeymoon and had the money saved up for it. About 3k trip to Ireland and scottland. Yay! (Super excited about this, but it's expensive, what could go wrong?) Less than a week later, our dryer dies. We did everything we could to fix it but just had to buy a new set. There goes another 1.5k. This morning I wake up, and Eric asks me if I left the garden watering system on because water pressure is really low. I did not. Walk into the garage, it's practically flooded. The water heater is leaking. So I write to you as I sit in the parking lot of my bank waiting for it to open so I can take out the 800 dollars to pay for a new one > On top of all that, work is hellish beyond all reasonable levels. *sigh* ok I think my rant is over..... Thanks wilky, I'm still hoping to atleast get a B in blog post's... we'll see Yesterday was a high calorie day, because we went out to dinner with my fiance's mother and I didn't do as well as I thought I did. I got a salad too, but it came with bread and soup.... Anyways, I also finished another project, a commission. I got some cleaning done last night, and my wonderful fiance cleaned with me so it was like we got double the stuff done in the amount of time! the house is looking a lot better, which just makes me feel better in general. Still have a lot to do to catch up from last week but it's looking a bit less daunting now. I really need to work on my how-to's......   21. I understand the feeling of your heart not being in it. I've felt very much the same the past few days. I'm just hoping on the flip side, it will all be worth it. Fake it till you make it! That's what a teacher of mine always said, and it's served me well in the past.

  24. LOL thanks, I'm beginning to think too busy :/ I'm starting to have a hard time keeping up with my challenges. This weekend has been crazy and eating well wasn't much of an option. I tried to portion myself well but, I'm just going to have to get back up on that horse tomorrow.... I did not complete the cleaning time for this week, and if I still want to get an A, I'm going to have a lot of catching up to do. *sigh*
