  1. It's a different brand, but the same stuff. As for the other places, I say Darby and Lester. Can also add Bury to it, which is pronounced berry.
  2. Sounds rather interesting. If nothing else, it has a slinky on a treadmill, for that alone, this is awesome.
  3. As I was planning to run the Challenge from Monday to Sunday, I'm not actually starting until tomorrow. I did however, go for a bimble along the canal by my apartment blockwith the wife this afternoon. I even took some pictures from a bridge for you all. No cats in them though. Must try harder next time with that. And as a bonus, have some Canada geese with some goslings
  4. This is the sauce I was talking about in chat I use for cooking. Despite the spelling, its pronounced wostershir sauce (I have no idea why)
  5. The Art of Manliness covers all sorts of topics, aimed at helping men learn skills our ancestors knew well and have since been forgotten, and generally help them become better men, husbands and fathers. There is a lot of content that women can take something from as well, especially some of the 200+ podcasts.
  6. That's great to hear, well done on the run. The trick with flowers is when you move your arm. For regular, you move when the poi head is at the furthest point from your arm, so you go into a big circle for a quarter turn. For antispin, you move when it is next to your arm, almost letting the poi head pull your arm to the next position.
  7. I'm looking forward to hearing how the food goes. Lifts look nice. But can't help with the phone issues
  8. As an engineer, this is all you need to know: https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8160/7214525854_733237dd83_z.jpg
  9. Sorry, I'll behave now and stop with the poi heckling. It's awesome that you're doing it. Anti-spin isn't that difficult to get. It's easiest with flowers. But I've not span in a very long time. Now get out and run!
  10. I liked James Boag and Cooper Sparkling quite a bit while I was there. 4x black wasn't too bad either. But didn't drink it often, due to the association it had in most places with the type of people who drink it.
  11. That was the drink from Friday night!
  12. But can you anti-spin it?
  13. I remember doing my RSA in Sydney when I was backpacking. The woman doing the course gave advice on each of them. On fosters (a pretty popular brew in the uk) if you walk into a bar which has that on tap, leave, quickly unless you want to take a trip to hospital. On the other two, she said if you're hosting a party & someone rocks up with either, close the door in their face as they are not the type of people you want to be around when drunk. As I moved around & worked in different places, I found her advice was pretty spot on.
  14. Sounds like you're doing pretty ok, overall, with your challenge. I've not checked out the art of charm podcast yet, it wasn't recommended to me by @~RedStone~ but by another podcast I listen to, the art of manliness. Thinking of checking out the art of charm when I'm fully caught up on the manliness one.
  15. The few times I tried to use tap talk on my phone, it unsubscribed me from each of the forums I posted on with it. So I stopped using it.
  16. I'm not sure I want to explore this. The wife does. This could end badly
  17. So glad you're going to keep singing. You don't have to post videos, just as long as you sing and you enjoy it.
  18. I've only known you a relatively short time, but your passion for lifting and for helping other people not only lift, but understand lifting better is clear to see. It's a nice thing to see. Ignoring the the negative comments is often easier said than done, but it can be done, with time & effort. I I think you should carry on with the singing this month as well as you seemed to enjoy that last month. The conference sounds good. Hope your notes are helpful
  19. I'm impressed by your lifting, well done with that. Shame about the meat not being defrosted though
  20. It doesn't sound like an ideal situation, but it sounds like you're going to try to make the most of it. I hope it goes well and you enjoy it.
  21. Springwatch on BBC 2 has been showing puffins on the Farn islands in Northumberland, they're awesome!
  22. Have you been watching them on spring watch?
