  1. Hi, I'm new here! I've been interested in getting fit and have been lifting weights 2-3times per week and just started some running as well. I decided to commit fully and intend to lift 3 or 4 times a week and run 3 times a week. I've done it in the past and was fit. The problem I'm having is that after Christmas I was having issues of being weak, constant headaches and I gained fifteen pounds rapidly without changing my diet. I was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure. My body was making no estrogen, and my doc explained that's why my body was retaining fat, as that's where estrogen is stored. I just started hormone therapy (estrogen) three weeks ago and I'm really hoping my body will respond and start losing fat, but it's not happening yet. Can anyone provide any advice about diet or exercise changes I should make given the big hormone changes I've been through? The only thing I've found through search was going low carb, which I've started today. Thanks!
