  1. And with that, the 28 day challenge is over. I will say I completed some, but not all, and gives me a good basis to work towards over the next few months. I do believe that if life did not toss us a curveball with this move, I might have had more focus, but my focus has been elsewhere lately. Fitness/Health Goals 1. Continue to rehab my ankle 2. Get back in the gym for 1 hr, 3 times a week (minimum) 3. Start Running again 4. Drink 64oz of water per day Life Goals 1. Elevate my blog. Add fresh content. Commit to blog posting schedule. - http://www.justinhamlin.com 2. Participate in Project 333 - 3. Continue my Operation: Consolidation goal of minimizing my clutter - http://justinhamlin.com/operation-consolidation/
  2. Yeah, even in the winter, its gorgeous up there. Lookin forward to the adventure!
  3. thanks! I blame my wife. She got sick, and you know how it is when you live with someone who is sick, you are bound to get it. Thankfully for me, I have a pretty good immune system, so I dont get it too bad, but still knocks ya down a notch or two in the energy department.
  4. not quite NYC, but close, about 80 miles north of NYC up the Hudson. But up there, plenty of trails for hiking, etc, so looking forward to that. I started the consolidation of my things back in early december, when I really starting being invested in a more minimalist lifestyle, with less clutter. Needless to say, I have a ways to go, but my wife has jumped on board and together we have made close to $4000 in selling our stuff, mainly thanks to selling 2 ATVs and a truck. Wish the move would help us consolidate more, it might in the end, but since were not the ones packing it and moving it, that motivation isnt there. Hopefully if we end up with a small enough apartment in NY, it will force us to get rid of more stuff! thanks for the well wishes!
  5. Welcome to the rebellion! I recently just quit my job and my wife and I are moving cross country from CA to NY. Hoping to go the freelancing route too. Glad to have you aboard.
  6. Okay, being sick blows. Continuing to drown myself in water, to combat the sickness, and because I need the hydration. I have been eating healthier, as my wife and I have been cooking at home and I have been bringing lunch almost every single day. I am continuing to work on my blog, new post out now - http://justinhamlin.com/2011/01/17/5-reasons-why-i-will-not-miss-my-job/ Working out has fallen off the table, with the relocation to plan, hours are at a premium, and the gym membership has been cancelled due to our upcoming move. Project 333 continues, right on schedule. its a progress, its slow, but its progress
  7. More woot worthy material along the same lines. Why I will not miss my job, or Corporate America - http://justinhamlin.com/2011/01/17/5-reasons-why-i-will-not-miss-my-job/
  8. I loved skydiving, definitely one of the best experiences I have ever had.
  9. yeah, should be a great opportunity for me, just HUGE because in 10+ years I have always been responsible for my own bills, etc, and to not have a steady income is kinda crazy. Plus, living in one area for 24+ years, moving 2775 miles away is nuts too!
  10. After 10+ years of being employed full time, I am finally taking a step back and re-evaluating everything. I am completely excited and scared out of my f'n mind right now, but I thought this was Woot Room Worthy. More details at my blog http://justinhamlin.com/2011/01/14/holy-shit-i-just-quit-my-job
  11. 2nd blog post that I got out today. I just turned in my 2 weeks notice at my job. http://justinhamlin.com/2011/01/14/holy-shit-i-just-quit-my-job/ Here is to a new adventure.
  12. So it seems that I have been able to stick to the personal goals, the fitness goals have fallen by the wayside. Was able to get out the first of two blog posts today. Part 3 in my series - take a read http://j.mp/hB0m2F 2nd one coming shortly.
