I hate buying bottled water but i am trying to put my health first and know I can at least recycle the bottle. But I am with you on not feeling comfortable buying bottled! Well done on your food and steps! I barely hit 3,000 steps at the moment! You've reminded me of just how many boxes of donations are in the cupboard by the door to go to the donation place >>

Thanks for letting me know - hopefully thats fixed now! 😃

Yes I love a good numerical or symmetrical pattern ^^ Yeah I think I might need to tweak around and see what I can do. I drink plenty of water but maybe something even like "two stretching screen breaks" or something
-
Oooh, I love (pardon the pun) the healthy 5/4/3/2/1 idea! Might have to tweak it for myself as 2 fruit + 5 veg is unattainable for me, but I like how this is set up and easy to remember/track.

I didn't even think to explain my own jargon It's not fitness related. CNM is the book Codependant No More by Melody Beattie which I'm working through as I await therapy from my failed marriage. GUGY is a Life Coaching yearlong course called Grown-Up Gap Year by Tiffany Han. All about listening to my instincts and living the life I want, not defined by my roles 😃 I've begun multiple novels, completing drafts of 9/16. I have a website with my stats here: https://krgreen.co.uk/novels/ I'm currently working on 'Project TFG' which has gone out to beta-readers and I'm editing based on the feedback. I've had a few short stories paid for and published too, but no luck in my early attempts to get an agent so returned to make the best book I can=) I write on medium.com too, but that's nonfiction.

Sounds like you are ROCKING this challenge. Love that your therapist supported you to see that rest/rejuvenation is positive. In fact science shows us that taking breaks for a full day or more can make us more productive and creative the next day ^^ Also, since you mentioned metal and cooking --- are you aware of Vegan Black Metal Chef? Episode 4 is "Hail Seitan" which I find funny

I love that you are using the support available to support you in this and I've just googled 'walking plank' and I do not even want to try to see how difficult I'd find that, hah!! [I will try it because, knowledge is power, but i'm expecting to not manage a full one] Following 😃
-
Following along! Never heard of PAI before but seems interesting! I am all for science + tailored approaches so going to take a look (even if just for the nerdy learning aspect)
-
I came to see how you're doing after posting mine and love how i was like "right, I learned I need to simplify this" and I come back to your 4 goals and think "I wish mine was that simple" so I'm now rethinking mine xD Also loving reading about the board and not even sure what the one I have is (or where in the garage of many things it is xD) How are you liking the book?

This is my respawn from 2017, and I'm exploring what does and doesn't work for me in 2022. I began this challenge last week as a trial - partly because I need consistency, but also because I'm going to be away for the final week of this challenge. So my week 0 is at the end of the last thread. I've tweaked a couple of the goals, but managed 20/30 XP last week, For this 4 weeks, I'm trying to really scale back to things which make a difference. Foundational Waters -Avoid unhealthy food choices (sweets/chocolate) for a whole day (_/1). -Eat 5 fruit/veggies at least 2 days. (_/2) -Intermittent Fast 15 hours. (_/7) Strength of Earth -Daily Movement / Stretching / Yoga (_/7) -Additional Walk / Workout (_/1) Scholarly Air -Read Nonfiction (_/2) -Read Fiction (_/2) -Complete a CNM chapter journal prompt (_/2) -Complete the GUGY journal prompt (_/1) Creative Fire -Write fiction (350 words / 2) -Write nonfiction article (/1) -Listen to ‘We Can Do Hard Things’ podcast weekly (/2) Total XP: /30 per week

Ending my Trial week before the next challenge with some more information. Foundational Health -Avoid unhealthy food choices (sweets/chocolate) for a whole day (1/1). -Eat 5 fruit/veggies at least 2 days. (2/2) -Intermittent Fast 15 hours. (3/7) Strength Building -Daily Movement / Stretching / Yoga (4/7) Scholarly Tasks -Read ‘Codependent No More’ (0/2) -Complete a CNM chapter journal prompt (1/2) -Attend my GUGY coaching call (2/2) -Complete the GUGY journal prompt (1/1) -Write fiction (350 words 2 / 2) -Write nonfiction article (2/2) -Listen to ‘We Can Do Hard Things’ podcast weekly (2/2) Total XP: 20/30 Which tells me I need to recommit to food and movement, and not expect too many self-development items (which I will prioritise over exercise, which is interesting). I did walk 8,800 steps on Tuesday on a team day at work, and did an extra walk on Friday in my lunch break, which brought my total for the week to 20,560... Not great but the week before I only managed 11,000 so it's an improvement.

I need to put reading more on my goals but I end up with so many goals I don't do them and feel like rubbish so I applaud you picking the simple and thus likely realistic goal-setting choice. I'm in the middle of a personal reinvention and you have reminded me that my skateboard is in the garage........ Hmmmmmmmmmmm. xD Best of luck!
