  5. I don't really use the character sheet myself; the linking wasn't very intuitive so I think I'm around level 13. I need to transfer some of my 4-week-challenges to the main quest aspects. But its another think to sync up and i barely have the energy to look at these forums!
  6. I joined the NFA in June 2016. How are you finding the process so far? I think I devoured the first 2 modules in 2 days, then re-read them again for days 3&4! I also find the FB group incredibly valuable
  7. Thanks. I've just got my had around being a 'mature student' and now it's almost over Week 0, Day 3: Workout: 1/3 - LEAD desk-yoga at work today Then vacuumed living room and sofa after finding more cat fleas. Counting it. Meditate: 2/3 - Walking meditation then counting desk-yoga as additional. Fiction: 3/35
  8. Week 0, Days 1+2: Meditate: 1/3 Fiction: 2/35
  9. Last month I tried to measure ALL THE THINGS. It was hard. I was hoping to feel a sense of increased achievement, but I actually just felt the pressure, and then like a failure for missing bits. Lesson learned (in science, it’s all about learning what DOESN’T work too). Now... I haven't climbed since May, and I keep telling myself to go once more, before my membership ends in August, to say I gave it a solid go, but the very idea of having to take clothes, change, park, walk in (no on-site parking), then hope someone else is there so I can ‘legally’ climb, but not more than about 6 people as it’s too cramped, then I leave after 15-20 minutes ANYWAY…. It just doesn’t feel ‘worth it’ for me. However, if I can commit to going once, Ill have gone 6 times in 6 months, which will make me feel less like a quitter. POSSIBLE CLIMBING DATES: - 27-29Jun - 3-5Jul - 17Jul - 20-23Jul So for this challenge, I’m dialling it back. I want to take part in the Mini, because exercise is almost the last thing I’m actually progressing in. I found 'daily' check-ins just failed, so removing all the 'daily' ones, except writing, which has been a daily goal for about 2.5 years. So this month, I’m keeping it simple. It’s my last month of University, so that has to come first. Equally, I want to launch my business at the end of the Summer, so that needs to get moving. My Five Week Goals: * Finish COP 1-9 Entirely (9) * Finish Portfolio Entirely(1) Finish Course Plan (4 weeks, intro/ending) for Business (5) Three Workouts a Week. MINIS COUNT. Yoga counts. Dance counts. (15) Three 'Meditates' a week (15) Clean kitchen once a week (5) Write fiction daily (35) Log Extra Exercise (5) That’s a weekly target of 10 points + Uni assignments completed (10 points overall). The Uni stuff is all due by July 26th so... Pressures on! Let's do this.
  10. Wow, daily HIIT sessions? Hardcore o.O And Meditation is one of mine for this month too!
  11. This is the frustrating thing. I still feel like crap >_> This is one of the reasons I've looked into medication, since the past 6 months of 'healthy movement' and 'healthier food' haven't really helped. I did have a good day at work today: first time I'd say I actually ENJOYED being in the office in.. months.
  12. Week 4, OVERALL: Absolving War’s Crime - Career Path - 5/5 Online business: 3/3 - Today I re-vamped all my web-copy having reflected on the issues from my planning day, and finalised a newsletter opt-in. PG course: 2/2 - Essay done, although I wish Id done more of my portfolio. Getting tight for time! Trainer’s New Moves - Strength Building - 4/5 Workout: 2/3- Yoga on hot day. Today, I did fast-dance, Shivanata AND weights work. Very short routine and didn’t really warm up properly, but its done. 2/3 isn’t bad. Shivanata: 1/1 Dumbells: 1/1 Possessed Weapons - Healthy Attributes - 30/35 Veggies: 3/2 - Apple, peppers, carrot Mindfulness: 1 - 3 times this week Choice: 1/1 - milkshake over ice cream Extra: 1/1 - 3.6km (1.8km on DAY 5 + 7) Combo Moves - Write Daily - 7/7 Write: 1/1 Loot - Read - 0/1 Read: 0/1 Despair & Dust - Family & Home - 3/5 Kitchen, Bedside, Sofa: 1/3 Meal: 2/2 - Today was BBQ pork with roast peppers and carrot TOTAL: 49/58 - 84% - This is all dependant on my guessing’ for veggies this week, so I think it’s higher than ‘ACTUAL’ but I can’t think of each day enough, and most days I had SOMETHING healthy to eat.
  13. Yay for prayer: getting that mentor relationship up. If the mini is too much, it's okay to let it slide - but I'd say pick whichever thing feels most helpful to you, priority-wise. If your mentor relationship can be a focus next time, do the mini instead. Sometimes, we only have 10 spoons for the day, and if something takes 3 spoons of energy: it's key to pick which activities you spend them on
  14. Week 4, Day 4: Absolving War’s Crime - Career Path PG course: 2/2 - Finished and submitted my essay for tomorrow Trainer’s New Moves - Strength Building Workout: 1/3- Tree pose, Warrior pose, wall slides, toe-touches. Still nearly 90 degrees F and in England we don't have Air Con so this desk fan just blows hot air around the room. Possessed Weapons - Healthy Attributes Veggies: 2/2 - Fruit for lunch: melon and grapes. Combo Moves - Write Daily Write: 1/1 Despair & Dust - Family & Home Kitchen, Bedside, Sofa: 1/3 - Vaccuumed bedroom and hallway. I've pretty much cried since I got home. No idea why (nothing obvious comes to mind). Logging it here so I can keep an eye on it.
  15. Week 4, Day 3: Absolving War’s Crime - Career Path Online business: 2/3 - I'm learning the gaps of my business plan which stop me moving forward PG course: 1/2 Trainer’s New Moves - Strength Building Workout: 0/3 - It's 90 degrees F, in England, where air conditioning doesn't exist outside of our cars. I genuinely feel if I worked out, I might die. Will try to do some brief yoga stretches before bed. If it's this hot, i won't be climbing on Friday. Possessed Weapons - Healthy Attributes Veggies: 4/2 - grapes, melon, carrot and baby corn for lunch - then picked baked beans as my takeaway 'side' rather than more chips Combo Moves - Write Daily Write: 1/1 - Done. Loot - Read Read: 0/1
  16. I definitely like some aspects, but I'm finding the 'daily logs' of so many things hard to keep up with. Equally, I'm till using it as "get all this 100%" so having so many IS overwhelming. Definitely learning what does/n't work for me though. Week 4, Days 1-2: Absolving War’s Crime - Career Path Online business: 1/3 - Barely did anything, but prepped for tomorrow, which is PLANNING DAY. PG course: 1/2 - Worked on this during day-job hours. Muhahaha. Trainer’s New Moves - Strength Building Workout: 0/3 - Too hot. Possessed Weapons - Healthy Attributes Veggies: 2/2- carrots and corn today, leftover pineapple yesterday. 3/4 Mindfulness: 1 - Not yesterday, did today - 1 minute at my desk Choice: 1/1 - milkshake over ice cream Combo Moves - Write Daily Write: 1/1 - Wrote 26 words today. 7 yesterday Husband has exam tomorrow: driving him, parking at the green, taking melon and grapes with a freezer pack, alongside crisps and some peanuts. And tomorrow shall be all about business planning Hopefully it wont be 30 degrees again, else I may die (planning to sit in my car, else may have to move out to the green itself)
  17. Sounds like you rocked this week: getting behind in Russian but ahead in another class is a fair trade off, if you value them equally?
  18. Yes you can! Sounds like you're identifying the block on the mentor side - can you schedule in WHEN you'll make time for the sermon? Scheduling it in makes you 50% more likely to do it, I think Feel free to tell us when you'll do it for accountability too!
  19. Week 3, OVERALL: Absolving War’s Crime - Career Path - 5/5 Online business: 3/3 - Didn't get as much done as I wanted, but I did make progress. PG course: 2/2 - Finished my 3,000 word essay tonight. 8 reflections to go (1500 word EACH. Eugh). Trainer’s New Moves - Strength Building - 3/5 Workout: 3/3 - Today did shoulder stand work, lunges, inch worms, various stretches until pain in foot; stopped. Possessed Weapons - Healthy Attributes - 25/35 Veggies: 2/2 Mindfulness: 1 - Sitting-in-sun mindfulness on Day 7 Choice: 1/1 Extra: 1/1 - 3.6km Combo Moves - Write Daily - 7/7 Write: 1/1 - Wrote 16 words on Day 7. Still counts. Loot - Read - 0/1 Read: 0/1 - Not this week. Not that bothered. Despair & Dust - Family & Home - 4/5 Clean: 1/3 - Tidying and cleaning living areas. Meal: 3/2 - Did well this week. TOTAL: 44/58 - 76% - Matched last week Happy with that. It's going to be a hell of a stressful week coming up... If I maintain 70%+ for week 4, I'll be happy.
  20. Week 3, Day 6: Absolving War’s Crime - Career Path PG course: 2/2 - Worked a LOT on my portfolio. Had a review with my supervisor and I'm not *technically behind* but she can only look at it and give me feedback next wek so I need pretty finished drafts done by Wednesday >_> of TEN different essays (only 1000 words each, but still) Trainer’s New Moves - Strength Building Workout: 2/3 - Must do this tomorrow. Possessed Weapons - Healthy Attributes Veggies: 1/2 - Takeaway, so actually, no. But I had pear for lunch, and tomorrow will reheat the pineapple chicken which has peppers too. Choice: 1/1 - Had a vanilla milkshake (homemade) when I got home, rather than a mint ice cream. Combo Moves - Write Daily Write: 1/1 - I shall write at least one word before bed
  21. Week 3, Day 5: Absolving War’s Crime - Career Path Online business: 2/3 - Working ona free opt-in for the website. Possessed Weapons - Healthy Attributes Veggies: 2/2 - Yes. Tried Kohlrabi tonight. Not entirely sure: but I didn't hate it, and we grew it in our own garden! Mindfulness: 1 - Meditated for 3 minutes twice across the work day. Combo Moves - Write Daily Write: 1/1 - Wrote before my late shift. Despair & Dust - Family & Home Meal: 3/2 - Husband stir-fried us beef sausages, green pepper, kohlrabi (garden), mooli, fresh spinach (garden) and carrot. It was a bit odd (I struggle with textures) but edible Not the healthiest food I'm sure but beats store-bought pizza healthier than oven-pizza which is our usual Thursday night meal if I'm working late. Had a review call with a different GP as couldn't get appointment with mine before my meds would run out, and they need the review before re-prescribed, but I can't quit cold turkey. Disgareed with a lot of comments but the end-result was 1. a repeat prescription so I won't run-out mid-way-through-trying-it, and 2. "see me or your usual GP face to face within 3 weeks". Dude, you came across as judgemental AND uneducated: I JUST teach CBT, and I know this medication has a weird half-life that means 21 days is NOT ENOUGH TIME to know the full effects. FFS. So, going to ensure I go to my normal (read: met him ONCE which was when I begged for the meds, having tried everything else for 13 years) GP instead of this guy >_>
  22. Week 3, Day 3+4: Absolving War’s Crime - Career Path Online business: 1/3 - I put a bit of time into this, although my concentration is shot to pieces. PG course: 1/2 - I worked on this but didn't actually complete a sentence/paragraph/section. Trainer’s New Moves - Strength Building Workout: 2/3 - Did some lunges, doorway rows, shoulder stand/plank work. Had a bad day at work so sod anymore Possessed Weapons - Healthy Attributes Veggies: 2/2 - Yes. Mindfulness: 1 - Meditated for 3 minutes Combo Moves - Write Daily Write: 1/1 - I shall write at least one word before bed I'm back on my fixed laptop =) Which is much faster, at least! Having a low day following some risk at work today though. Hearing stories of domestic abuse just.. gets to me. But we're going to offer support to that person, and I showed up for SOMETHING. Also, I have my doctor call re: meds tomorrow. I'm assuming it's too early to change the dose, [it often takes 8 weeks to notice differences with this one, and its not yet been 4] but hopefully that can ease my restless mind a little and at least get me a continued prescription for this dose. If the doctor thinks I should up it, I'll follow her advice.
  23. Week 3, Day 2 [turns out yesterday was day 1...]: Absolving War’s Crime - Career Path Online business: 0/3 - Fell asleep on the sofa during this time! PG course: 1/2 - Nothing new today Trainer’s New Moves - Strength Building Workout: 1/3 - Just did a 7-minute yoga-for-bedtime. Counting it. Shivanata: 0/1 Dumbells: 0/1 Possessed Weapons - Healthy Attributes Veggies: 2/2 - Yes. Mindfulness: 1 - Meditated for 3 minutes Choice: 1/1 - Tried a white-hot-chocolate flavour drink instead of sweeties today. Wasn't a great fan but it stopped me eating more junk. Extra: 1/1 - 1.8km Combo Moves - Write Daily Write: 1/1 - I shall write at least one word before bed. Loot - Read Read: 0/1 Despair & Dust - Family & Home Clean: 0/3 Meal: 2/2 - Today's meal was quorn pieces/green pesto/yellow pepper/corn/peas + cous cous with lemon+pepper seasoning. Not the healthiest food I'm sure but beats store-bought pizza And I've got leftovers for lunch which i've added ham to
  24. I'm a Creative Life Coach (as in, coaching for writers/artists/creatives). It's taking so much effort not to be like"uh, i'm beginning to do this thing alongside dayjob" but to fully own it -- but I've got clients booked and it's going really well so I just need to feign the confidence until it's natural Yeah. I took pictures but my laptop crashed 2 weeks back so i don't have my original ones right now (it sounds like they saved my files though so hopefully by this weekend I'll have them back!)
  25. Week 3, Day 2: Absolving War’s Crime - Career Path Online business: 0/3 - Technically didn't work but did book a beta client in for next weekend PG course: 1/2 - Essay work. Trainer’s New Moves - Strength Building Workout: 0/3 Shivanata: 0/1 Dumbells: 0/1 Possessed Weapons - Healthy Attributes Veggies: 2/2 Mindfulness: 1 - Meditated today Choice: 1/1 - Choose a homemade vanilla milkshake over ice cream - and a small glass at that - maybe 1/4 of a pint instead of 1/2 pint of ice cream. Extra: 1/1 - 1.8km Combo Moves - Write Daily Write: 1/1 - I'm resenting it right now, so I wrote FIVE WORDS. Still counts. Boo-yah. Loot - Read Read: 0/1 Despair & Dust - Family & Home Clean: 0/3 Meal: 1/2 - Tomato sausage tray bake [I really must photo this one :D] (thawed honey sausages cut in half, green pepper cut into 1x2.5cm strips, sweet potato and carrot cut into 2.5x2.5cm squares and slather a tin of chopped tomatoes on top - bake at 180 degrees for 45 minutes. Had tonight's on bed of spinach leaves, and for tomorrow's lunch I've added frozen corn, peas and torn up some ham to make it a tad different.
