  1. (This is a post for yesterday, I got home way too late and needed sleep haha!) Workout: Rest day, just did a lot of walking around though and cleaned my room (that was a massive workout) Diet: Breakfast: oats with mixed berries Lunch: sweet potato and broccoli DInner: vegan ramen, vegan gelato Snack: chai tea (with soy) - doesn't taste too good though, mouthfuls of brown rice
  2. Workout: Bodyweight 1A with NF Diet: Breakfast: oats with blueberries Lunch: sweet potato and broccoli DInner: brown rice, cauliflower, capsicum and mushroom Snack: capsicum Feels: Feeling okay, been feeling really bloated and sluggish all day though, I feel like something hasn't fully been digested so not sure what's going on in there. Hopefully this all goes away soon because I'm not feeling 100%
  3. So I just did measurements today: SW: 68.3kg Neck 34cm 13.5in Chest 90cm 34.75in Bicep 31cm 12in Waist 86cm 34.5in Hips 108cm 42in Thighs 52cm 20.5in Calves 40cm 15.25in Not the best place to start, but in a couple months or in a year's time, I'll be in a much better place
  4. Haha sorry for tricking all you guys with the click bait, but if I do ever meet any of you in real life, we should definitely get burritos together
  5. Now that I have your attention, HI!! I recently just joined the NF community, looking to be pals with like-minded people. A bit about me, I'm from Australia and have been pretty on-off with my health journey and am really ready to make a commitment to myself and my wellbeing. I look forward to meeting all the wonderful and cool new people in this community so say hi back if you want to be friends
  6. I'm vegan for health and ethical reasons. I honestly feel so much better being HCLF vegan than eating meat, dairy and eggs. I often felt greasy and groggy after eating meat, and was already lactose intolerant so it was really easy to get rid of the dairy. I also think making millions off an industry that advocates murder, rape and violence is terrible for both our environment and the animals affected. I honestly didn't want to feel accountable for the widespread suffering of other humans, animals or the environment anymore. I also can't cook meat so eliminating that food group makes home meals a lot less stressful to plan
  7. Hi! I'm Garnet and I recently joined NerdFitness to be part of a really cool health-focused community. I also need to hold myself accountable for doing things like working out and eating well. It's just like school where they test you consistently to make sure you're on top on things and I guess this is my test: to become the ultimate burrito! (Jokes I'm not actually a burrito, although a burrito that can talk would be pretty cool) I'm not sure what my starting weight and measurements are, I will take them tomorrow as I have had a very big and delicious dinner so weighing and measuring myself right now won't give an accurate picture of what my starting point is. I guess the goal of this is to become the best version of myself, mentally and physically. I think if I physically look better, my mental state will improve with it A lot of my mental things are related to feelings of inadequacy and not being 100% comfortable in my own skin. I know that being leaner or whatever won't correct that, and that is a mindset shift, but I feel like working out and being consistent with health and prioritising it will help that aspect of my journey go a long way. Anyways, enough babble I hope to give you guys an update tomorrow! PS: anyone looking for a fitness buddy??
