  3. Off topic: I joined the Storm cloaks on Skyrim and now I feel like the biggest jerk...I'm destroying Whiterun, my favorite city!! I feel like the Imperials, in cahoots with the evil High Elves, need to be stopped....but at what cost?!
  4. Why is Son2's GF's mother hanging around, doesn't she have a home to go to?? Sounds very aggravating...also, I had a pug with similar allergies...maybe it was his diet... (just kidding, please don't bench press me...though you very nearly could with those impressive numbers, lady!)

  8. I understand...I feel that way about plyometrics (burpees...hasn't happened in a long time...)
  9. But....but...lunges are so functional!! You lunge every time you walk uphill or climb stairs...they increase medial hip strength which helps everythng from knee to back problems, and means you can lift heavy stuff better cause you're more stable! They're an awesome exercise!!! *runs off to write new number one single, Ode To Lunges*
  10. It's only confusing the first time you set it up, and then you will love it for the amazing potential for both functionality and creativity! My bullet journal is not pretty or artsy, but I love it!!
  11. We learned in PTA school that women playing indoor soccer keeps us in a job for knee rehab...I shall do my best, but also be as cautious as possible haha. I tend to get quad strains when I suddenly sprint a lot (I guess I lied, I have played Ultimate a couple times in the last few years, which is a team sport! But it didnt last cause I strained my quad a couple times and then gave up...), so I'm gonna ease into it this time. I told the organizing people that I don't know what I'm doing, so they shouldn't be expecting much from me.
  12. It IS indoor soccer 0.o I haven't played any kind of team sport in about 15 years...we'll see how it goes!
  13. Got in a quick 30 lunges - my legs feel a bit better today than yesterday, even with the lunges I did throughout the day. I'm departing from my Spartan training a bit and counting soccer tonight as my running day. I think once I get fitter and more consistent I can start to work out and have my active hobbies on the same day, but for now i think if I did my 2.5 or 3 mile run, plus lunges plus ran tonight at soccer I'd be asking for an overuse injury. I'm not sure how much time I have before the game to warm up- if I warm up right before I leave the house, then drive 25 minutes to the match(plus then however much time before the game), do you guys think the warm up would still be beneficial? In other news, my bike is ready for pick up after getting a tune up that hopefully fixed my clunky shifting, and my boyfriend is intrigued by my Spartan training and wants me to send him the plan so we can try long distance training together! (He's not been brought over to the Nerd side yet as he's not much of an online community guy, but my best friend joined the Academy yesterday, so now the Adventurers have a great new member!)

  15. I'm so sorry to hear about both your dog and your friend. That is difficult news indeed. I think it can be so easy just going through every day forgetting to actually live, good on you for rectifying that! Hey, I'm training for a sprint too! (though mine is theoretical because there's no sprints in my state this year, phooey!) What is OCR??
  16. I feel like the size discrepancy is so vast that it's like when small children try to kick a horse forward, the horse is just like, "what was that? It tickled slightly." So it would go for McGregor against the mountain...
  17. How fun! I love happy accidents like that!! My boyfriend is a red-headed Irishman who prefers soccer to gaelic (but encourages me to try Gaelic when I come over!) and I'll be moving to Ireland to be with him in the near future! I have a very tough girlfriend over there who plays gaelic...I'm a wimp, but I'll give it a try! I'm going to play indoor soccer tomorrow for the first time in about 15 years, so that's my first step back into playing sports. I thought, maybe if I could get over my fears of playing a somewhat familiar game, when the time comes I will be brave enough to try something completely new.
  18. I'm tentatively excited for playing soccer tomorrow! Terrified, but also a bit excited...I said I would go, so now I gotta go cuz they're counting on me for their numbers. So, I'm planning 20 seconds of courage for tomorrow afternoon to get in my car and drive to the place.

  20. Are the rings like what you see the guys do in the Olympic gymnastics? That is hardcore!
