    Yessir! Duly edited.
  2. Challenge accepted. This week, I'll stop eating snacks late at night after rehearsal, because I'm not that hungry, and that seems to be the time of day when I eat the worst. At the gym this weekend, I'll up my press weight to 30 pounds (gulp!). Friday I don't have work, so I will run at least a mile (two if I can manage it) without stopping. And I will research and make at least one completely Paleo recipe! Mmm, maybe I'll find a nice breakfast one.
  3. Got my log all set up (http://nerdfitness.com/community/showthread.php?10951-SLP) and I am ready to rumble!
  4. I'm thinking my diet challenge will be hardest for me. I can generally push myself to work out even when I don't want to, but eating clean for even a day is a struggle right now. I just have to establish habits! I've already passed up a couple non-Paleo desserts offered to me this morning, which is a step.

Me Age: 19 Height: 5'4" Weight: 114 lbs (as of last weigh-in) Race: Pixie Stats: STR 1 DEX 2 STA 2 CON 3 WIS 4 CHA 3 Hi! I'm a recent high school graduate (going to college this fall), and I've struggled with weight issues for a while. I followed a pretty standard disordered-eating pattern early in high school, which led to some serious weight fluctuation throughout those four years. I hit my highest weight ever in November 2011 (disclaimer: high for me is not high for everyone; being a pixie I'm pretty small), and after several failed attempts to start working out and taking care of myself, something finally clicked in January of this year. Since then, I've lost about fifteen pounds, been eating somewhere close to paleo (I LOVE WHOLE GRAINS), and started weightlifting. I feel SO MUCH BETTER than I did before, but I'd like to take it to the next level. Goals Real talk: I am ridiculously weak. Years of not fueling my body correctly have made me a limp noodle of a human being. I love lifting, though, and I'd really like to start getting stronger. That's my biggest aim here: getting stronger. Goal 1: Eat totally clean for at least a week - no processed foods, no white flour, no dairy, as few grains as possible. And then try to keep going for the rest of the challenge! +4 CON Goal 2: Press half my body weight. I can hardly press over 25 pounds - not kidding. TIME TO GET SERIOUS. +1 STA, +3 STR. Goal 3: Run 5K without stopping. There's a women's run coming up, and I want to prove to myself how different I am from the girl who could barely jog a mile a year ago. +4 STA Goal 4 (life goal): Learn to prepare/cook at least 10 Paleo meals. As I said, I'm going off to college soon, and I need to get my act together! No freshman 15 for this girl; I'm going to use the opportunity of being away from my decidedly non-Paleo family to amp up my diet. I have to know how to make something first, though. +3 WIS
  7. Hi, everybody! I've been following NerdFitness for a long time and wishing I could start incorporating weight-lifting and Paleo philosophies into my struggle towards a healthier weight - and finally I'm going to! I had a question about finding the time to exercise: I'm a pretty busy person (not a complaint, just a fact), and between a full-time job and rehearsals from 6 to 9, I have trouble deciding when to exercise. When works best for you folks? I've tried the early-morning route and can't seem to force my sleepy body to work out to its full capacity. Any advice?
