  1. Thank you both! Since it's officially 2 weeks in for me, i posted another blog to update. http://www.nerdfitness.com/community/entry.php?8119-week-2-update
  2. i'll post another update on tuesday, but just wanted to let you all know that i accomplished another goal! i ran the 5.3k around my house in 31 minutes. i believe that earns me 2.5 dexterity points i'm very excited.
  3. Wow, I never thought about it that way before, really different perspective. Glad I read this thread! Great week Lizalopoli! I often find that if I don't eat something I love (like dessert) and then come back to it occasionally, it is even better than I remembered
  4. thanks for asking! i completed my half marathon on sunday and wrote a blog post to update http://www.nerdfitness.com/community/entry.php?7994-1-week-in-1-goal-completed!
  5. I love your new recipe goal too! Let us know what you decide to make and if you need help picking anything out, I must have hundreds of recipes bookmarked on here. Good luck!
  6. Good luck with your goals! I am also trying to lose weight by counting calories. I'm not sure if you have a smartphone, but if you do, there are a lot of apps available that makes it really easy to track what you're eating. Good luck!
  7. The low sugar consumption is such a great goal! I think I'd probably cut out all sugar if I wasn't vegetarian, but I need it to sustain myself. Good luck!
  8. Thanks everyone for your responses! @Yogadrienne- it's been a really long time since I've done yoga, so my goal for this challenge is to do 6 classes (1 per week), just to get back into it. I'm not really sure where I'm at! @Elan, I look forward to comparing with you @pinupgeek, I do all different kinds of dancing! But mostly Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical and Contemporary. Do you dance as well?
  9. Good luck with your splits! (and everything else ). I have danced all of my life and so I have all of mine, and the best advice I can give you is a) warm up before you do them (think cardio- sweat), stretch a lot before you do them (like 2-3 minutes of lunges etc), c) don't hold for longer than 3 minutes at a time! you will tear your muscles and d) do it EVERYDAY and you will see improvement good luck!!
  10. I'd like to hear more about your "pescaveganarian thing" if you're willing to share! I'm a vegetarian myself.
  11. Your whole challenge is impressive, but the 5-minute plank makes my jaw drop! That'll definitely make it into my next 6-week challenge. I can only hold mine for about 3 and a half minutes. Good luck!
  12. hi everyone! i am really excited about this challenge background info: i'm in my last year of high school and really want to start over in university - i want to be known as 'the fit girl'. i'm working with a personal trainer to build muscle and i'm running long distances- mostly for fun. i like to push past my limits. i am a lacto-vegetarian (no eggs) and i eat vegan whenever possible - which isn't often since i am the only person in my family who is a vegetarian. i think going without dairy would probably kill them. i'm doing this challenge because i really care about health and fitness, and want to be the best that i can be. i love love love the outdoors and could not be more excited about summer approaching. starting info: my attribute points i hope to gain are as follows- 4 CON points 4 STA points 2 STR points 3 DEX points 2 WIS points goals & achieving them: check out this blog post i made for the details: http://nerdfitness.com/community/entry.php?7768-trying-to-actually-do-the-six-week-challenge!-HELLO-DRUIDS-%29 wish me luck!! i really look forward to these next six weeks and keeping up with all of you. good luck to all of you! let me know your comments * i also decided to take two pictures now and take two at the end of the 6 weeks. here they are- http://www.flickr.com/photos/77921739@N08/6987689014/in/photostream/lightbox/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/77921739@N08/7133772975/in/photostream/lightbox/ anyways, i'm not sure if i'm 100% druid but i feel as though i am more of a druid than anything else, at heart especially. and hopefully i'll be participating in lots of these 6 week challenges in the future - this is just the beginning of my druid goals!
  13. Hi everyone! I thought I would introduce myself. I'm 16 and new to NerdFitness, and basically my six week challenge is about eating healthier (less sugar) and losing some fat. I'm also training for a half marathon and I have a dance competition coming up in two weeks and one just after the six week challenge is over so I'll be training for those as well Good luck with all of your goals, everyone!
  14. I'm a day late, but this is my first post - I'm in, too http://nerdfitness.com/community/entry.php?4427-6-week-challenge
