  1. First week has not been great. I have kind of called off the challenge. At this point I basically forgot it. I am a college student, and I have been so busy all week that I only had around 30 minutes of free time total in a weeks time. I barely could find the time to eat, let alone find time to work out. I was still doing really well on my diet though. But on Friday my uncle passed away, and it kinda sent me down in a spiral of bad food. I'm currently fixing that. But it's a slow process. Things are slowing down slightly with school, but it is still pretty crazy. Thank you for checking in though, I appreciate it.
  2. Hey everyone! I have really been noticing how sweet food actually is lately. I've been eating better for a while now and things have begun to change. I am currently at work earing before my shift, and sat down to eat some tomato bisque along with some veggies and chicken. And I swear this soup tastes like candy. It's absolutely nuts how different everything has once you get used to not eating it everyday. I'm curious, what food did you guys first notice this with?
  3. Hey everyone, So I have known for quite a few years now that something isn't quite right with my back. I basically have self-diagnosed myself with lordosis (dramatic inward curve of lower spine). This causes me pain in certain situations, but I have gotten better at avoiding those situations. Yesterday I started the level 3C bodyweight workouts, and one of them was "leg lower downs". I have done leg raises numerous times for core workouts, but for some reason, the lower downs utterly destroyed my back, more than 24 hours later it still hurts. I had to use a heating pad last night to get to sleep. So my first question is, what exercise can I do in place of this to avoid the back pain but still work the same muscles? And secondly, have any of you bodyweight guys experienced something like this? And did you do anything to remedy it? I have looked into yoga for lower back specific things, but it is hard to find a good routine tailored specifically towards my issue without an instructor. Thanks for any responses guys!
  4. Welcome! Steve's (Rebel One) Book "Level Up Your Life" is on audible! I got it on sale and highly recommend it. I finished more than half of it in one day! It is really good. Besides that, I enjoyed "The Martian" a lot. Once I finish "Level up Your Life", I'm moving on to "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and then "The Revenant". I'll let you know how they are!

  6. Hello fellow nerds, My name is Donavan, born and raised in the Northern New York country. I have spent a good portion of my life in the Adirondack mountains. I have been in Nerd Fitness for a few weeks now but have just now stumbled upon these forums. I am somewhat active the Men's Facebook page, but I am hoping that being active here will help me! I have not had a lot of forum experience, so any tips are helpful and much appreciated! Hope to talk to you guys and have some fun! -Donavan
  7. This looks incredibly fun. I am 100% new to these forums (been in the academy for a little while though) I don't have any accountabilibuddies yet, and I see you aren't accepting new members. Is it possible to still participate in something like this even though I am not a member of the group?
