  1. So towards the end of the year I started to ask myself "am I really getting the results that I want at home"? Unfortunately the answer was no! I dreaded the thought of the gym sincee my husband who doubles as my gym partner has been gone on orders to Japan since November leaving me to take are of everything including our 3 year old daughter by myself (who needs sleep right?). So the next question was what do I do about this? The answer- I suck it up buttercup! Went ahead and took my scrawny but to the gym and signed up, got my daughter signed up for the kids club there and now we both go to the gym 3-4 times a week!! Since the first I've lifted 62,066 lbs and thats only what I've counted, I've actually run several miles on a treadmill despite being told I wouldn't be able to do so without extreme pain by my physical therapist. It's going to be a good year guys, who's with me!!!
  2. Particularly with the holidays (and health issues that are destroying my love of holiday food) here I've been struggling to stay consistent one well, anything. So I finally buckled down last week, ordered a night time probiotic with sleep blend, and some protein that is supposed to taste like mocha caramel (heres to hoping!) to supplement my food and try to keep my stomach in check so I can finally get back on the workout wagon! Finding time between family, decorating, and cleaning has been no easy task either. But thats it, enough is enough, I need this, my health needs this, my body needs this!! So here is the start to the next chapter, and I'll keep rewriting this broken record of a book till I get it right!! Anyone looking for a killer at home workout I highly recommend the Fit Model Fitness leg workout... I am in pain.... Split Lunge with Dumbbells 10x each leg Repeat 3 times Step-Ups 10x each leg Repeat 3 times Sumo Squat Booty Pulse 20x Repeat 3 times Dumbbell Deadlift 10x Repeat 3 times Bulgarian Split Squat (need a chair or bench) 10x each leg Repeat 3 times Sprints 100 meters 10 times
  3. I finally have a victory for the week!!!! Besides that I cleaned my whole apartment minus the bathrooms in just this afternoon, I'm also down 5lb!! Yay controlling what I eat!
  4. Today I dropped my husband off at the airport for his transfer to Japan for the next 2 years. We aren't sure when he'll be home next but we know it will probably be about a year before we can see him without a computer and an ocean between us. I plan to take this garbage life has handed me and work out through it. So far I've just dug through my daughters Halloween candy, it's just so good!!!
  5. This is really helpful, thank you! I'm nervous but hopeful. I'm hoping to be able to just throw a headphone in and sit back for it.
  6. So I have to go have a Colposcopy (yay ma...not....). Has anyone else had one who can give me some insight on what to expect?? I could use some insight to help curb the anxiety about everything because at this point my head is reeling.
  7. Nothing says top notch like an over prepared barkeep in an underground storage full of goodies
  8. I had a 450 patient the other day that I had to move. Does that count as some weight?? I move patients almost every day and most of them aren't light.
  9. This is pretty much my exact problem!!! I'm focusing on a lot of moves that require your stabilizing muscles because at one point I read an article that said that was the best way to get a solid core. True that
  10. Darebee's Brute leg day workout for a total of 5000lbs!!!! Going to hurt in the morning but my butt will thank me later I'm sure! I'm up to a total of 6665lbs.

I'm an organization freak and I have a "control center" binder that has a bunch of spread sheets for passwords, budget, spending, debt payment trackers, all kinds of good stuff!! I can email them to you if you'd like them??
  12. Ahhhh!! YEEEESSSS!!! I'm a nurse, everyone please go get this shot!!! Hospitals are not a good place to meet friends!
  13. I'll have to get some up. We got a few more weights for it today too!! I do have a question though. We bought some resistance band equipment today that I'm pretty excited to use for leg day. How would you count that for this quest?? Just the weight rating on the band?
  14. This was a great chance to test my up-and-coming garage gym!!! News flash- it needs some things... lots of things. So for today started off with Age of Pandoras Chapter 2 (great cardio warm up and another step on my quest) and then came to come help clear the hall by toting 1665 pounds of rubble! Not the most but the week has just started! Viva la guild hall!!
  15. I can't possibly be the only one!! Anyone else have that extra left over from being pregnant. I gained 50lb with my daughter and am still carrying like 25lb of it around with me 3 years later! I'm skinny in my arms, sturdy in my lower legs and fluffy in my thighs, butt, and belly. It's just not cute. Anyone have any handy tricks?? Also the stretch marks are insane. Love my daughter but she didn't have to leave me all these lovely presents.
  16. I haven't had one but I'm an RN in an OR here and I have seen plenty of women in your situation have them. I can tell you they are fairly quick procedures and very safe. There are different types of ablations so if it's something you're considering just talk through the options with your OB. I know this isn't super helpful but maybe to help take some of the anxiety of the uncertainty that comes with a trip to the OR. I hope everything works out.
  17. @Rurik Harrgath Just to make sure I understand. The heaviest thing I have here are 2 15lb kettle bells. So I just do kettle bell workouts and record my weight or the number of workouts I do with that weight??
  18. I'm a nurse and with being on my feet all day I decided to invest in a few pairs because you know... why not?? The first few times I wore them all day it was almost like I had hot spots on my legs where it just randomly hurt for no reason and I was honestly a little concerned. After wearing them a few times a week for awhile now I don't get the random pains anymore! I also don't have sore feet or swollen knees at the end of the day like I had beforeI wore them regularly. Hope this helps.
  19. I'm still here I just haven't updated the chart for this whole week. I was thinking about it yesterday but will do it today
  20. Given my unexplained stomach issue coming for me like the plague itself, I am going to go from 3 workouts this week to 2 and hope for better health tomorrow for the new weeks challenge.
  21. So who's on Xbox One, and more importantly is playing Elder Scrolls? Bought an online game that I'm currently playing by myself which is just silly.
